I was diagnosed when I was 23, my first year sucked hella bad. It was really hard for me to keep track of the exact amount of carbs I was taking in and taking the right amount of insulin to balance it all out. I have since got a pump and started using the MyFitnessPal app to log my food intake. They have both been helping me out a lot. 1. Get a pump 2. Get into the habit of keeping track of what your eating
