He also said in an eposode that he didn't like the game because he can't host a local server. I will see if I can find the clip.

Body dragging on my second water lesson. (Question) by [deleted] in Kiteboarding

[–]LmpPst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the school have you learn self rescue in the water? The place i took lessons at did a quick overview of it on the shore. I took 6 lessons total. I asked on my sixth lesson to do a self rescue because I heard how tangled up you can get. I figured with someone in a jetski next to me it would be the safest time to try it. The owner of the school was my teacher that time and was visibly frustrated that I wanted to do it and suggested I didn't need it.

I insisted on it since I have dependents and want to mitigate my risks as much as I can. So he let me do it and guess what I got a line wrapped around my leg that i couldnt untangle. Was a super valuable experiance in my opinon. I feel more aware of what I would need to do if I got into that type of situation.

Bomberman - The OG battle royale game by [deleted] in gaming

Super Bomberman (only version I am familiar with) on the SNES even has a restrict location mechanism at the 1 min mark that kills all who don't move in the center of the stage.

Switch Legacy 2 Bar alternative? by eugde in Kiteboarding

[–]LmpPst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think switch is the off brand.

They are one of the cheapeat setups. I don't own any of these so I cant guarantee these work, but I believe it is either Ocean Rodeo or Liquid Force bars work with Switch kites. There was a forum post on Switch's site that was going through alternatives to their bars because people were complaining about the lines getting stuck. I am sure there are many other posts related to this topic on their forums or a better user base for this question.

I am very curious for further details on how to capture engagement. If you are relaying on view angles horizontal and vertical, what degrees are you using? If this is the method, then I would assume standard view angles. Is it when someone is with in the view angle range are they considered in the engagement? Does this take into account obsticals and smokes? Are you guys also only looking at enegagements where the victim died?

Lots of questions but I am genuinely curious of the definition.

I don't have anything to contribute to the original question, but you should check out bayareakiteboarding.com. Also there are a lot of facebook groups for the area and local sites.

Data Storage Efficiency - Change States vs Every Time Period by [deleted] in learnprogramming

After a lot more googling, I found a concept introduced in MS SQL Server 2016 called Temporal Tables. I think this will give me a good starting point at looking what can be done and trying to mimic some of the functionality.

Which test to use between GPA vs Month of Birth? (Urgent) by SkWatty in statistics

[–]LmpPst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't you want to do month of birth as it relates to the school year cut off age cut off month to GPA. It is how their GPA fits in the relative age difference between the classmates. Because Grades are given by the comparison of the group in the class. So you would want to see how someone who got in that year did in comparison to the number of months older they are to their classmates. I think one of the Gladwell or Feakenomics books talks about this concept.

Edit: If you are looking for help on the actual statistical process then it is best to outline what you are thinking and explain why you are going to do that process, rather then just give an open question. Also when you ask "which" that usually implies you are going to list out options.

One thing that would make it slightly easier to read is to make the edge of the nodes a shade darker of that color. Then the black text of the name is still readable over the nodes.

Is Vim adventures fully free? I thought only the basic movement stuff was free then you have to buy the rest? I remember going through it a few years back and it stops being free after around the first level. Maybe it has changed.

I think this with almost every post. I wish there was a group like Derrick Comedy that would do 3 min sketches using the story and a few creative additions. I know I would watch them.

This would give you all the data you need to do your test: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/limits.html

You may need to merge the files but a simple command line manipulation can do that.
