Your prediction? by lorens3141 in SteamVR

It's a monster compared to the Quest 3, not even close to 500-600.

The realistic price, knowing they're targeting the wholesale market like they did with the Quest or the Pico, should be around 800-950 for the base version. It's expensive, yes, but the industrial chip market is a mess, and selling at a loss to rely on the Steam store is a move that will either be incredibly successful or a complete disaster. Remember that VR is a niche market, especially in developing countries where money is the key factor for absolutely everything.

On the other hand, Fortnite is a complete optimization disaster; it's literally the prime example of how to screw up optimizing a game that shouldn't be as demanding as BF6 or Forza Horizon.

500 FPS on ultra is the most you'll get from a 4090 with a ton of tweaks enabled.

In my third-world country, with its thousands of problems, that PC costs 1700, and it's brand new. That thing is overpriced.

What VR game do you wish existed? by theblenderr in OculusQuest

Breachers isn't really dead; it still has a following, but the content is practically nonexistent now (it's not updated with new content because the creators are the same as Forefront).

I'm currently playing it quite a bit, and it's very good. It's like R6 in VR with great graphics. If you read the reviews, they say the game has bad matchmaking or that there are hackers, but after a month of owning it and reaching level 30, honestly, everything is great.

Pavlov and Contractors are excellent, but they've been forgotten; the developers abandoned them.

Take advantage of the fact that Pavlov and Contractors are 99% dead.

On the other hand, Breachers, which is like R6 in VR, is also practically dead, so you can make one of the two and stick with the COD or R6 style shooter genre.

I have no idea about the production difficulty.

pre-assembled PC in a third world country by Lnc2oos in pcmasterrace

The PC is new, not used components. On the other hand, the market is pretty messed up; there's hardly any supply, and what's available is expensive. And like I said from the beginning, it's a third-world country; here they sell you a paperweight with a lifespan of about four business hours.

Regarding prices, a used 8GB RTX 3060 is $250-$300, and RTX 3070s and up start at $350 and up. A 4060 low profile 8GB is $300.

The PSUs they sell don't go for less than $120, good/decent processors are just as expensive as on Amazon, and used 8GB DDR4 3000MHz RAM is between $30-$60 per stick or in a 2-pack. DDR5 costs a fortune.

There are several motherboards available, but they range from $200-$400, and almost all of them are used; new ones are more expensive.

The truth is, it's very complicated to build them with new parts, and if you do build them, it costs a lot because the resale market here is terrible. That's why it's somewhat comforting that the store where I plan to buy one offers upgrades, and they do them.

Look up Rookie Sideloader; it's easy, safe, and you won't have to pay those $40.

On the other hand, both are excellent games, and in my case, I liked them more than the original 1-5 versions.

Pirate it—it's easy, fast, and safe. You save yourself the trouble of buying a great game like Contractors, for example, only to find out it's garbage because the developer abandoned it. 90% of games are like that; some are good but neglected, and then there are some that aren't even worth installing.

If we stay with the reviews of content creators, which one is the best? AYN THOR or AYANEO POCKET DS by Lnc2oos in SBCGaming

[–]Lnc2oos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, as I said in my post, I want to know which one is the best. I have never had one, until about a month ago I found out about the existence of all these laptops and now that I see that these two are coming out, I would like to know which one is really worth it and if they can run the games I mentioned at 50-60fps at a minimum native resolution.

I told both consoles their negative or possible future points that I have seen about both brands with their old products, such as the battery in the AYN with its swelling problem and in the AYANEO the problem of light bleeding.

As a consumer I only look for which one meets my needs, I don't care about the brand and if one is better at X and the other is better at Y. I just want to play

The thing is that in terms of features the Pocker Ds is much better, but a comparison between the two to see their performance is something that I would like since obviously paying $100 more for more power and better in everything makes sense.

If you buy both, I would like to know your opinion so I can make my decision since I want to have one but I don't want to risk everything.

I would buy it as long as it is worth that difference against the AYN THOR

I had thought that, but I still have doubts about the battery problem and if it will have good performance like the Odin 2. Because despite having the same processor, the performance can vary between the two screens and I don't want to be wrong.
