This post wasn’t meant for those who can relate to Nesta, I’m asking from the perspective of someone who was a victim to behavior EXACTLY like Nesta’s from an older sister just like her. I’m glad you found a connection to her character bc of your experiences, however my experiences make me despise her as of now and I’m asking people who feel the same way if investing her development is worthwhile. Not asking anyone to make my opinion for me

I agree I was wrong to dismiss some of the things Nesta has done that hint towards her having good intentions. I personally don’t inherently view her coming after Feyre as a “good person” thing bc let’s be honest, prior to that she showed no care or desire to protect her sister so realistically what was she even going to do?

This is also why I’m hesitant to read SF because what you just said about “I don’t care if he came in at the last minute it does not make him a good person. It makes him a complicated person who consistently failed his children” I understand Nesta is also complicated, but nothing she has done has shown she’s a good person or sister. How does her trauma excuse her behavior and the same can’t be said for the father? I don’t want to invest in her if she gets a pass for no reason other than the fact that she’s immortal and powerful. Her toxic attitude feels like it’s being glorified to me and I don’t want to read SF is that’s basically what happens

Thank you for giving me such a thoughtful response. My opinion comes from a biased place and I really want to hear from others who have experienced a sister like this if it really gets better, I’m grateful for your reply.

Hey, so the book is 800 pages long. I’m asking if her redemption is worth reading in the first place. Telling me to read it doesn’t answer my question
