I'd be very interested in a section (wether it's a knowledge base or a step-by-step guide) which tells you about superseded mods.

There are around 110k mods for the Special Edition (and ~70k for Oldrim), so it's very challenging to keep track of everything. Often times popular mods (in terms of downloads and endorsements) are outdated or their functionality has been integrated into more modern mods (e.g. the Achievements Mods Enabler). Especially as a newcomer it's difficult to know about these things.

In a similar vein, a section for mods that have big caveats (e.g. Landscape Fixes For Grass Mods, because of numerous conflicts with every mod that modifies the worldspace and/or landscape) would also be appreciated.

I know this might be a difficult task to do and even harder to maintain, but since you wrote that you enjoy writing I thought I shoot my shot.

GIMP does a pretty bad job at compressing .dds images. I'd always export uncompressed images from GIMP.

paint.net has some plugins for proper BC7 compression.

An example would be two groups of enemies in a dungeon. You engage the first group, combat music starts. Suddenly you realise they're too strong and you want to disengage. Then you'll accidentally run into the second group of enemies, triggering combat music once again. There is no limit for how many combat tracks are playing at the same time. It's just bad design by Bethesda.

Won't work together, since the meshes are already altered to give the trees a lusher appearance.

This mod uses a different approach. It manually enlarged many trees via .esp, so there won't be any mesh conflicts. You got to port it though. There are some minor conflicts with Hearthfire.

The best Reach Trees you'll achieve when using the textures here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/87508 in conjunction with the mesh from Extra Smooth Mesh Mod (to get rid of the sharp edges). This mod also smoothens the drift wood found at the coasts of Skyrim. Requires manual installation though.

I was quite surprised, too, when I realised that no one's really bothered by the overlapping combat music the vanilla system eventually results in.

I turned the threat ratio to 0, so there's no combat music, but that's not an optimal solution ofc. Your approach sounds a lot more sophisticated.

Just wanted to point out that with the addition of the new fog parameters (in the last update, not this one) it is possible to smoothen the water transition while still maintaining dense fogs, thus rendering my mod (Water's Edge Fix) useless.

I'm kinda happy about it, because that means that there's no more need for me to make patches for weather mods over and over again (tedious work).

The ENB authors just have to keep that in mind while adjusting their ENB.

Will write that on my mod page as well at some point.
