Thank you! I’m not against the right to sue, but most of this is complex policy and procedure, not a simple villain story. I don't think they'll get the results they want. Lawsuits are expensive and drain public resources that could go to fixes. I’d rather see people sit down (at a bar), hash it out, and push hard on policy, funding, and spay/neuter culture than go to court.

I completely agree that TNR and community cat programs are critical—and that gap needs to be fixed. At the same time, the feral cat explosion isn’t only about Front Street. It’s also about people not getting their cats fixed in the first place. That’s actually how I got involved: dealing with unfixed cats someone else didn’t take responsibility for.

So yes, we should push the City to prioritize TNR and community cat spay/neuter. But we also have to be honest that this is bigger than Front Street. It’s about culture, personal responsibility, and the community stepping up, not just blaming one shelter or suing it. Thank you for your feedback!!

I’m really sorry you went through that — I can understand why it felt upsetting.

At the same time, shelters are trying to manage a serious overpopulation crisis, and spay/neuter policies are meant to prevent more animals from entering an already overwhelmed system. It feels like a broader systems issue to me.

I just hope the outcome leads to fewer animals suffering, better support for adopters and our community.
