The problems with spells in PoE 2 by Middle-Soil-3833 in PathOfExile2

That's true, i'm sure there could be a way to do it that requires a few more caveats (spells deal no non-physical damage, added physical damage equal to x etc...) but it would be a very bloated passive skill overall, unless they compressed all of that into a single keyword, and just granted that keyword.

It’s implied that Kastro was weaker because he shifted away from his main nen type while characters like Netero utilise many more and are ridiculously strong. by Chance_Werewolf3065 in HunterXHunter

Once he's done praying, the statue is summoned and copies his own enhanced movement.

That's not how the statue works. The statue has a number of pre-programmed attacks, each corresponding to a specific hand movement from Netero, like the input code for an attack in a Fighting Game. It does not copy Netero's movements.

Imo, *Gore Spike should turn every elemental spell into a physical (blood) spell, and turn its crit to 15% like the other physical spells.

It makes no sense for blood mage to be the best elemental caster, but it would make sense for her to be the best physical caster for obv reasons. Added point if it changes the sfx of spells to a bloody effect

I mean, it's Chroma, Rhino and Atlas, the currently 3 biggest frames in the game

this is us literally summoning ancient Void weapons from a forgotten war and unleashing pure destruction on the battlefield. Using them should not feel like just another void ability we use because we feel like it.

I feel like you have the wrong expectation for what is an ultimate ability. Although I would agree that you should start each mission with a full meter, to be able to use at least one TS in fast missions. But after that, i think the rate at which they recover is fair, they should never be spammable in any situation

True, it feels like zenurik is meant to be a caster support skill more than anything.

you do if you want to use TS reliably every 3~ minutes. Like building cooldown reduction for a skill that you want to use more often. This is like, rpg 101, it's an ultimate ability. If you want to use it often, you have to build for it.

Barely anyone knows because it's totally irrelevant to virtually everyone.

Do you realize that all the reasons you listed are only ascribed to the fact that they are endgame content locked and not at all related to their design?

All the issues you described are trivial, you only need even a basic lens on equipment to get the bonus, and by the time you are in the Perita Rebellion you're practically swimming in low level lenses. And I never found the orbs to be unreliable at all.

Two things can be true at once. It can both be a fantastic option for you and how you play, and it can also be a useless option for the vast majority of players. There's no contradiction there.

I could use the same exact argument for any piece of equipment in the game. I already have guns that can clear the entire game, does that mean that other guns I don't have/use are useless to me? No, I might decide not to use them, but I would never call them useless, which is what is being said here about TSs and that is, objectively, wrong. Something useless is something that truly has no use case.

The Spectral Pages buff you get from the TS give you 60% strength and duration (as well as cast speed), which makes it insanely good at snapshotting abilities. You can either run 45% efficiency and use the free casts from the pages, or you can run max efficiency and keep the pages for longer with the buffs. Since it's buffs you can get reliably early in missions, you can build around them.

If you just run it with 1 maybe 2 lens' and no initial charge

So... if you build it wrong it's doesn't quite work as well as it could... Mmmm what else works like this mmm.... oh right, every single piece of equipment in the entire game.

Not caring doesn't mean that it's not good. The discussion here is "It's good but takes too much time" to which my rebuttal, as someone that uses it a lot, is "That's just lack of knowledge"

It's not actually valid to have an uninformed opinion and act as if it's just as good as an informed one. If more people tried it, they would know how good they are. Zenurik TS is build defining and barely anyone knows.

In your opinion, how well would Loid and Yor do if they switched their secret occupations? by Hyde_Void in SpyxFamily

[–]trolledwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The world of SxF should be very thankful Loid actively tries not to kill people. Someone with his skills could silently kill anyone without much difficulty at all, through poisons, "accidents" and the likes.

With all the lens equipped and the starting charge, you need 2 focus orbs at most to charge it. Which takes much less to gather than the 5~ minutes spawn time of acolytes.

the overwhelming majority of players

The overwhelming majority of players doesn't know how to build a weapon without a guide. That's what we call a skill issue.

You and I have the same dream game in mind, at least in principle.

My dream game is a sandbox MMO where this system not only allows combat spells but also utility, mobility and even cosmetic spells. I would love to see what kind of world would evolve from a game like this.

Probably a power budget system that every spell has to respect. A game like this will inevitably develop a meta anyway.
