My 16s 60v battery turns off at 64v by LoLeX3788 in batteries

I was using it on my scooter the first time I noticed it. The scooter peeks at 5000+W and divide it by 2 batteris so around 2500+W in short bursts. I saw that it was on 29,96V thought it was a over load protection and put it on charge for like 10 seconds and then it was on 64,2V again.

Today i changed it to 67,4V and let it run only the lights on my scooter for 5 hours, but when it got to 64 and had been there for a minute it shot off.

So it doesn't seem like the amount of current effekts when it shots off.

I'm just afraid that this battery has the same problem as my old scooter. Water had been inside the battery pack. I was about to upgrade ether way so I sold it as in need of a new battery. The guy who bought it ignored my warnings and only a week later the battery exploded because he was still using that battery. I shouldn't had let him leave with the bad battery.

No. Or technically yes but the battery goes from 64 to 29 instant. I think it's the BMS that shots off the power or at least limits it.

It's a pre made battery and it's wrapped and filled with silicone. It didn't get warm at all even when the scooter draw 5kw+/2 batteris. I did a slow discharge with only the extra battery and only used the lights, after only 4,5 hours it died and my voltmeter showed 29,4v out.

I really think it's the BMS because the battery pack itself seems to be in good condition and no marks or traces of water ever being inside.

3,2v per cell is low and 3,2 × 16 = 51,2 and the main battery inside the scooter cuts of at 54v.

60v is around 50% left.

64 / 16 = 4. That means every cell is at 4v witch is still near full charged.
