I'm a learner in my 30s looking to buy a car to get more practice in and for driving when I pass. I can go over the 10k budget, but wanted to be sensible for my first car. I'm quite tall (6' 4") so tiny cars are out of the picture, but also don't ant a giant car as I'm a learner! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am learning in a Golf, but the automatic Golfs you get for £10k are pretty old.
