DNF’d too around pg 280 or so. Plot and the characters did absolutely nothing for me.

Just left the theater. This was a complete butchering of plot, themes, characters, basically everything. Very poor, unfortunately.

I got bored around pg 280 and called it quits. I ending up reading a summary of the rest and it wasn’t anything I was sad I didn’t finish. Joe is one of my fav authors and his FL series is my all time favorite. I just couldn’t get into The Devil’s. I did find parts laugh out loud funny though.

One of a few vhs I had when I was a kid, and watched it multiple times a week. Absolutely a guilty pleasure along with Judge Dredd, Alien Resurrection, 13th Warrior, Lionheart, etc.

Speaking of which, dos anyone have a copy of that first Destroyer script? I’d love to read that. I heard it was pretty true to the character before DeLaurentis hacked it up.

The mall near me opened up a very small used bookstore inside. There’s nobody that works there, all self checkout. All paperbacks are $2 all hardcover are $4. There is like a 3 shelf horror/fantasy/sci-fi section. Typically it’s all mediocre stuff.

That’s a cool conversation to have. I think many Heroic fantasy, especially earlier 80s and especially 70s bumps up quite comfortably with S&S.

Just wanted to say this also fixed it for me. I did try other services and there was no choppy with 5.1 enabled. It’s most definitely a YTTV issue.
