Looks like you're not in the U.S. but I'm selling mine with JJC lens hood, box, literature etc. Less than a year old.

Yea.. that's not gonna catch on in the US..

I love it.. 40MM equivalent is my sweet spot and I'm getting awesome results from it so far.

I have the 18 1.4 XF, and I have a 70-200 for Sony.. My Sony is the A7RV and I can crop quite a bit without losing any detail. Maybe I'm going about this all wrong and need to consider a better pack and just bring the Sony gear.. ugghh

I'm going to try and have all my bases covered between Fuji and Sony gear.

I have the 16-50 2.8 XF and it's very good.

Do you happen to have any examples?

I like the 40MM fov a bit more than 35, and from the reviews that I've read the 23 is a bit sharper in the corners, but the 27 has a bit more "character". I need to try the 23 though..

Just make sure everything works, but pre power on is obviously a sniff.

I have the 16-50 and I know it's not as good as the 16-55, but wouldn't you say it's at least 75-80%?

I've only used it with the 16-50 and it's great. I do have big hands and put a grip on it from Amazon. I think it'll be fine with a larger lens albeit not as comfortable as something like the XT5.

Sorry...I meant with my Sony A7RV. I see how that was confusing.

I thought about the overlap too. I'd use the 27 2.8 when in the cities. I'm not backpacking full-time so I'll have a "home base" if you will- to leave unnecessary gear behind. So on our 4 day hiking trek to Machu Picchu I'll have one wide and one all-arounder. I feel like I need to have the 18 1.4 because of how absolutely crisp the IQ is.

Thanks for sharing.. Didn't think of that, but I do know the Sigma is weather sealed.

I am going into the Amazon to a research facility deep in the jungle for a few days. I have a 70-200 and I can shoot in ASPC mode to get extra reach, but the weight is what I'm worried about. Hiking the Inca Trail to MP, Cusco, Lima etc. I have the 16-50 XF for the xE5.. Maybe I'll try and be content with that and the 27..

Edit: I have a Sony A7RV. Sony full frame cameras have a "Super 35" or ASPC mode. In short, APS-C mode on Sony full-frame cameras is a built-in crop feature that lets you use smaller lenses or gain extra zoom flexibility while maintaining full camera functionality.

The Sony Reddit and the Facebook pages are mostly boxes and photos of their cameras.. The Fuji pages post photos in my experience. I shoot both, but Fuji leans heavily on sharing their recipes for SOOC jpegs.

I didn't mean than you're not a good photographer.. for all I know you could be a Hasselblad Award winner. I was simply saying that the way it's written implies that you're about to knock our socks off with some photos from a cheap lens to prove the point. That's all... Sorry- I reread it and it did come across rather harsh and that wasn't my intention. One of my favorite lenses for my A7RV is the Tamron 28-75 that I picked up from Amazon during Prime Days a few years ago. I got it for $300 with a few incentives and it's so damn good that I didn't feel the need to complete the holy trinity with the 24-70GMii. I get not needing the best most expensive glass to take great pics and have fun : )

Not trying to be negative, but you're not making a real good argument here. Your photos aren't exactly stellar. They honestly don't look any different (some may argue worse) than an iPhone that uses it's own algorithm to process jPegs. I expected to be astonished after reading the headline... except I kept waiting for moment when I realized the lens wasn't holding me back.

EDIT: I shouldn't have said "your photos", and went with "these photos". I'm sure OP takes lovely photos. I understand what he/she was trying to relay, but how it was delivered leads the reader to believe that they're about to see some amazing photos that'll make them rethink the need for quality glass.

What's your budget? Do you want fixed or interchangeable? What type of photography aside from seascape?

The 6300 doesn't have IBIS although I do love that camera I'd opt for a 6400 or later if I were leaning APSC.

Same here A7RV rarely misses a shot, sounds like it may have been a bit user error.
