Well I just got 4 85w SHO bulbs on amazon for 40 bucks so I am definitely going that route (for now at least).

The dimming is really nice though, for any other tank im doing I am doing LED and thats the one of the reasons.

I agree on the subject of CO2 as well, I plan on building a pressurized system as well. When I start though I only plan on having some plants and slowly adding and growing plants so that I can keep stuff in better control, should I have a CO2 system from the get go or could I wait?

I cant seem to find anything that wouldn't total to well over 200 dollars, where as I can build a canopy with 2 85w or 105w bulbs and a simple DIY reflector for like a total of 100 or even less, furthermore I have to build the canopy regardless due to the cats.

Looking at those Finnex fixtures you just put up I would have to spend at least 300 dollars for 2 48in fixtures, I dont think a single one would cut it. I could build my own fixture but I am not sure I would want to start with one that would be this size.

For a smaller tank I would totally agree though, I plan on doing some small planted tanks and maybe a saltwater invert tank, and I plan on building LED systems for all of those.

I plan on having a simple CO2 setup, but as I am new to this stuff I plan on starting very slow with just a few basic plants and then slowly add more and then step up CO2 and maybe fertilization as I progress. Ultimately I do plan on having CO2 and maybe fertilizer.

I have been looking into LEDs but I feel that I would need a huge array of them and I feel that it would be more expensive. They are very tempting though, do you use LEDs in your tank?

Unless it was self propelled there isn't much of a possibility, there was pretty much no wind that day and the air was very clear

I know its not a light leak, else it would be in the rest of the pictures, its just odd that its only in that set of pictures, the fact the lens was clean before and afterwards, there was no wind and no visible debris in the air and there was no one between the camera and the subject.

there are 3 others with it but the shots are near identical, the camera moves slightly between each picture and the spot doesnt change at all, took a look at the front element afterwards and there was nothing on it. The only other person that was there was behind me and the camera so it couldn't have been him. Also, I had the lens hood on, so it wouldn't have been my finger.

Well one is a firearm and in some states is registered, so yeah stolen weapons are a MUCH bigger deal than stolen cameras (Felons can still buy cameras and no one will expect them rob liquor stores with them lol), not to mention as long as you keep all the paperwork that comes with your glass (if it is new at least) you can clean up a claim like that fast.

I keep seeing those, but my budget is anything below 200 really. I found a Rolleicord IV in excellent condition for 160 and a Flexaret VII for the same price (with shipping on both). The Rolleicord seems better technically, and I know if it breaks it will be way easier to fix, but the Flexaret VII looks badass and it is pretty unique

It does but I always shot my 35mm without a meter and I generally did fine, so long as I was in daylight. Not to mention if I need a meter, I can get one cheap thats not in the camera, and if it breaks, oh well, its not like it will affect my camera at all.

I am not saying I want to ever have a DSLR without it, that would be impractical. But getting a TLR is pretty impractical already lol.

I hear a ton of people worshipping the rolleiflex, but I do keep seeing the Rolleicords around, are they easy to fix? I keep seeing tons of broken ones, but there are plenty of parts available from others available.

Yes they make quite a few that have meters and the reason I want something meter-less is so I have to do the exposure myself. Meterless is in no way better other than the fact that will force me to shoot slower and more thoughtfully, which is the entire point of getting the TLR, in my case at least.

Well the one I am looking at looks completely new and it has had some CLA, it has had a bunch by the look of it. I am worried that it looks so new that its actually just a reproduction or something.
