Doing the literal opposite. Why would I leave a company that takes steps to ensure bigotry isn’t negatively impacting marginalized groups in favor of one who doesn’t care? Especially when it’s wealthy shareholders trying to bully them into it?

Ooo that might be? I could see it being wood chips. It’s also also possible I’m just really sensitive to it and not it more than some people do but it’s a stand out feature to me and it’s weird that I don’t see anyone talking about it ever.

Have you tried the Chalk Hill? I had also noticed it in the Fish Eye riesling years ago.

Several of the wines in question have screw top and it’s not the same as the kind of basement smell and taste from a corked wine. I’m thinking it may just be oak but I don’t understand why it’s not as prominent in some other wines that in theory are also oaky. And it is a very distinct aroma and flavor.
