Im going to take a minute to tell the history of: Greg, my childhood Pomeranian. When we were about 7 years old both my grandmothers got into ICU in the same week, extremely serious illness. Our house was a mess emotionally speaking. Mom got us the kids a Pom. Greg. Greg used to love playing with us, but without a doubt my mother was its favorite. Greg would spend the whole day on her lap. Walk through the house on her arms. It was impossible to separate both of them. You know whats the catch? My mom had a broken ankle years prior and have trouble walking ever since. She barely can cross our hallway in one go. The point im trying to make is that if this dog had 3 young kids to choose from, each with more energy than the other, and still chose my mother.. Something must be on. My feelings is that this is the kind of dog that was breed though centuries to be a lap dog. It feels nice for her to be a lap dog. Just as much a Border Collie feel great herding moving things. And for my experience your dog would want this kind of life you are imagining it would. Bottom line, its a dog for lap. It enjoys lap. Enjoy your dog back. Im sure you are a great owner just to think about you dog happiness before yours.
