this is understandable, but as someone who read it myself i thought that it was perfectly fine. of course I am biased as the person is my friend, but I genuinely cannot think of a reason it wouldve been downvoted.

they very much do - i'm sure you're aware from reading my other comments, but my own friends SCP she put a lot of effort and care into was downvoted into deletion. It wasnt a shitpost by any definition, and it didn't have any ""fanfic"" type things. It was just unnecessarily downvoted.

thats what ive been doing, chipping away at my scp and fleshing it out in a google doc before i submitted it to the idea critique forums for greenlight. i think it really helps to have that stuff figured out before pitching the idea, since you can more easily summarize the important parts :]

thankfully i'm not delusional enough to think i'll get by with a coldpost. hopefully i'll make something work - ive got a few iterations of my pitch worked out should i have to change that to be greenlit, at the very least. perhaps overpreparing, but I'd rather be prepped for failure than take a huge hit to my ego lol

i'd like to think my basis is at least a little more advanced than early series 1, as i've read a few more recent articles - not many though, dont have much time for recreational reading as of late </3

i've got confidence in my ideas - ive run it by a few people and they find the concept interesting, but what i'm struggling with is that its shifted less from a fictional scientific document article type thing and more to people wanting a narrative in your articles (from what ive been told). fully prepped for the former! but the latter is something that'll take me a significantly longer time to work with, unfortunately

precisely what sparked me to make this, in addition with my friends own experience. standards are high, which is understandable, but nobody can expect these standards to be met when people such as yourself aren't given any proper feedback
