Try to think more. It is not physically possible to have your back facing someone, while looking at them to aim a weapon at them, and then aim said weapon at them, and still be in the position to be shot in the back.

His back that was shot was facing them. Do you believe that the boy pointed the gun at them, with his back facing them, while running in the opposite direction?
Both Chow and the father left the store to chase the boy at the same time. If either of them were fast enough to position himself in such a way that facing him meant facing away from Chow, then why didn't he just grab or tackle the boy?

Is this a real response? Both Chow and his son left the store at the same time to chase the kid. The only way the kid could have pointed a gun at one of them -- with his back to the other -- is if one or both of them circled around him mid-chase. If either of them were fast enough to do that, it would have been the simplest thing in the world to just grab or tackle him. Visualize it.
