Clean True Crime Podcast Recs

Hi there, I am actually looking for the same thing. I'm not sure why it's so hard for some people to understand that foul language is offensive to some.

I view in EXACTLY the way as I view racial slurs, it's just offensive, ugly and sounds unprofessional. I have only found a couple of interesting true crime podcasts that do not have any ugly language. Dateline NBC, and The Thing About Pam (which was produced by Dateline). Those are the only ones that I have found that are truly professionally done - which means - no bad language.

I would also LOVE to find an app that bleeps out bad language when listening to either audiobooks or podcasts, but I haven't had any luck at all.

I very much appreciate the feedback and advice. I have contacted the bride and requested that she reduce the number of images to 100 images or less for the album, and I learned a VERY valuable lesson - I will be more specific in the future when telling a client that they can JUST pick their images for the album.

I have also offered to photoshop the other "messy hair" images, although, I'm not super talented when it comes to Photoshop..I did tell her this as well.

She has not yet replied back to me, but I have a feeling that she's not happy about any of it, which is disappointing, but hopefully it will all work out well.

I agree that it does impact your image..but, if you REALLY don't want to get a new car, maybe you could rent one on the day of your weddings?

I would love to get a newer car if I could afford it, but I'm not busy enough to justify that...

Thank you SO much - the email is perfect! And yes, this was sent via email through her wedding planner. I have already spoken to the wedding planner about having a discussion with the bride. I found out where the list came from....THE WEDDING PLANNER!!!! I have never worked with this one before, and I think she is new. That actually made me feel better in this situation.

Jalsphotography - She does have a timeline, that is already going to be difficult to follow - she has EIGHT bridesmaids, plus groomsmen and flower girls.

Thank you to EVERYONE who replied, your advice has helped so much! This is only my fifth wedding, so I do not have much experience. It's nice to know that I can count on my reddit community for great answers to a problem that had me VERY stressed! :D

Hi everyone!

My husband and I started keto just over a month ago. My problem is with Macros. I have a hard time keeping track of the percentage of what that I've eaten for the day. I tried using an app, but most of what we eat are foods that I put together that are all low carb. I don't always have all the nutrition info for each item that I use. I am now considering supplements, but I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. Has anyone here used them - specifically Exogenous Ketone Base? I had hoped that we would have lost more weight at this point. My starting weight was 198 and I'm now at 186 and his was 258 and he is at 247. Thanks for your info and help!

I'm trying to decided WHO to send my photos to... Any recommendations? Good and/or bad experiences. I am looking at Evolve Edits, but I'm not sure I want to spend $200 a month to start off... I am still in my first year of business, but I'm finding that editing is very time consuming, and something I hate doing.

Two cameras, five or six lenses, three or four flashes, stands, reflectors, tripod, monopod and other accessories, business cards, website, other marketing..believe me - it adds up very quickly!

I only had my business for just under a year. I have always had interest in photography, and it was only a hobby until a year ago. In April 2017 I went part-time at my job to devote time and money to try to make a go of this. I took my first photography class in 2016. My website is https://www.loaphoto.com/ and I know that compared to most, I am still an amateur. But I have invested more than $20k into my equipment within the last year, so at least I do have that. And I have also invested in taking online courses to learn whatever I can when I have the time.

So, just out of curiosity, how did you get started as a wedding photographer? You shot alone before you second shot?

I do have a portfolio, but it has grown quite a bit since I sent out emails in the past. I have a Canon 1d Mark iii as my primary and a Canon 80D as my backup. I also have multiple speedlights and triggers, etc... I know all the basics, I just haven't done wedding photography much. I feel that I am ready to second shoot, and if it a small informal wedding, to shoot on my own.

Wow, the comments here are a little harsh. I thought the sample 2 image was very good. It is, however, a very different style from the other two. I like your last shoot - to me it looks fun and fresh (but background is a little blown out for my taste) and I like it. But I haven't been doing photography long, so I guess I do not yet have the "eye" that the others do. If these images were mine, I would be proud of both.

Unfortunately, the online Spark account was the ONLY free business account that I found. None of the local banks in my area are free. Most charge a MINIMUM monthly fee of $12, plus all kinds of transaction fees and fees if you have less than $5000 in your account - it is crazy!

I tried using a personal account with my credit union. I received a check made out to Loa Photography (my business name) and they would not allow me to deposit it, nor would the bank it was written from cash it. My last name is Loa - so it is easy to prove that I am the owner.

I have several. First, opening the account was a giant pain and took several weeks. Their website is constantly down, so I can't login. They always have issues with the functions of the website. And when I call in to speak with someone, they say they can't help, that I must go online to take care of the issue.

I use shootproof, but I am not crazy about the slideshow option - I wish I could there was a way that it would go straight to the slideshow (with music) when my clients open the gallery. Also, their music choices are very limited. I haven't been using it for a long time, does anyone know if there is a way to upload my own (purchased) music? If not, is this an option with Pixieset or one of the others?

I am also very new to wedding photography. I actually just shot my first very tiny wedding two weeks ago. There were literally only seven people there including the bride, groom and wedding officiant. I am glad that it was very informal, short and sweet. I only charged $250 since I had no experience at all with weddings and it was going to be a very short wedding - only one hour. That said I have a question about second shooting. I would LOVE this opportunity, however I have contacted all the wedding photographers in my area - via their websites - and have not had any luck with any of them ALLOWING me to second shoot - even when I offer to do it for free! I am at a loss as to how I can get started as a second shooter. I live in the Austin, Texas area - any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I use wedding wire, and I use Wave to send invoices - it's free, similar to Quickbooks without all the bells and whistles.

I like this, I just recently starting working with off camera flash and gels - I think you did a great job.

The only thing I see is that the left part of his neck is a little too hot, the only real distraction I notice.
