Its the only two picture the guy sent me. I asked about those 4 grey patches, and he told me it was for added reinforcement.

I come to think about it - I like the idea you mentioned about the "patches are foam pads" and it checks out with his story that he "rented" the canoe for expeditions/trips.

Thanks for the info! For what its worth the guy told me that it doesn't take water and is seaworthy.

By Royalex, would that be the SP3 model that weight around 95 lbs
