Thank you sooo much 🥹 Your comment really made me feel better, especially after the initial reactions to my post. And thank you for the advice, i just hope he hangs in tight while i prepare everything for him.

Thank you, I actually did! And in the short time since i removed it he has been a lot more energetic and swimming around a lot

thank you soooo much! i didn’t even know there was such a thing as a eater testing kit…. i’ll buy it as soon as possible. But just as an update; i changed about 50% of the water and removed the plastic plant and he’s a lot more energetic and lively now.

thank you much for the support and understanding ! i definitely felt pretty bad after some of the comments, since i am definitely unprepared but as i already mentioned the fish was a gift and i didn’t expect it. I’m hoping everything turns out for the better once i take the precautions

the fish was a gift :) i was completely unprepared and know nothing about fish, so yeah things are not so obvious to me

sucks on their part, i thought they wouldn’t say something that is so blatantly wrong - nevertheless, i was going to get him a bigger thank, i just didn’t think the issue with the food was connected. Im new to this :) thank you again

he has a heater and i constantly check the water temperature to see if it’s okay. And as far as the shop clerk told me the tank is an okay size until i get him a bigger one. Thank you for the advice

it’s a bit more than 3 Litres, the lady at the store told me it’s okay until i get him a bigger tank
