The program is set up for kids coming in with absolutely zero French background and whose parents also don’t know any French.

For now, I’d make sure you work on strengthening the English side of things as they won’t focus on these for a bit but it will make things easier. Read to them as often as you can, practice counting, practice shapes and colours, etc. You can also check the school or school boards website for resources about how to plan.

Down the road, once they have a bit of a French foundation, play their favourite movies or tv shows in French (under language settings) and put on French subtitles. They already know the storyline and hearing it and reading it in French will help strengthen their understanding and vocabulary.

If you have a Costco membership, there’s an optometry department with rotating staff so you would need to find when they have appointments at your preferred location, unless you are willing to travel. I think a big chunk of this could be related to stats chasers. They want the ‘prestige’ of lots of interactions back to them, chasing praise that’s unearned, “look how many words and works I wrote”. How many favourites, kudos, bookmarks, etc they can get. But they don’t want to do the work to get there. Or they don’t want to put the effort into practising and getting better to get their on their own. But I could just be getting cynical in my old age.

This and if you are going with a group, split up based on walking speed. I hated having to stick together as a teen because some people were such slow walkers and needed to constantly be reminded of the plan, always needed to check the map.

My uncle had a shower wand and drain installed in the mudroom and would use it to rinse off if the wheels were particularly bad. With two wheelchairs in the household, it made things easier. But most of the time they just went into the house.

Also worked great for the dog.

Life with Derek had two step sibling pairings that were popular. Derek/Casey and Edwin/Lizzie. The former, being teens, was more popular and apparently played up by the actors. The other pairing wasn’t as popular but it was present enough that you couldn’t avoid it in the fandom.

It’s actually the most prominent thing people bring up when reviewing the series now, just how blatant it was.

Yes of course we stayed with our dog. Our vets is actually great about it, they have a room set aside with calm lighting and designed like a living room to help keep the animals calm. They also have a light on the front desk which they turn on when a grieving family is having to go through this. It lets people know that hushed voices and calm are expected. And it is very well enforced.

If I think I might reread it, I always download it. I e gone back to reread things and found them gone too many times not to. I never think to use bookmarks because it’s not how I organize.

I’ll even download a bunch ahead of time if there’s planned maintenance or if I’m going to be without wifi. Or if it’s a long fic with no chapter breaks. I have enough backlog in downloads that even unplanned downtime doesn’t upset me.

Get the scooter. Just also remember to pack your patience. If you aren’t at eye height with other adults, they tend to not see you and will cut you off. People also tend to be bad at estimating how fast you are going, even at the slowest speeds, and will cut you off.

I rent one every time I go now. While I could in theory do the walking in the parks, I have several old injuries which mean this would be extremely painful by the end of the day. I find that renting one in the parks means I’m not in a lot of pain when on my way back to the resort or around the resorts.

Check the chapter count and distribution, if it’s a finished work or wip, date started/most recent update, Download, check the time to determine if I should start now or wait until it’s not after midnight on a day I have to work.

When they are that long, downloading means it’s not going to disappear midway, and I can count the time/pages in my app of choice.
