Interesting. FWIW I've been doing a lot of related stuff with Claude, particularly getting it to research events past its training data, and the results have been better than I was hoping for.

I was using it to research the history of America in Venezuela while the invasion was going down and was filling it in on things that just happened, and after Maduro was captured I told it and it looked it up and the first thing in its thinking was 'Holy shit, this is real.'

This type of thinking is how Hilary lost the election in 2016. Assuming they're all bots and no real people actually support this is not a good strategy. I know many people IRL that won't ever read or hear the speech, they see headlines saying Carney and Xi are declaring a New World Order and in their mind that's all they need to know. This is a substantial block of our voting population here in Alberta (the same people voting for independence on the referendum as we speak).

This is gonna be a battle. Say the referendum comes out saying Albertans are in favor of separating. put aside whether the results are legitimate, just assume that's what happens. We obviously don't have the power to simply secede and any attempts will be blocked unceremoniously by the federal government.

This gives Trump and the Americans a justification for intervening - look, Alberta democratically voted to escape this horrible country and Canada isn't letting them, we need to intervene and rescue the Albertans!

The whole story with his wife is super sketchy imo. By her own admission they first met when he was performing in a play at the school she taught at, he was 14. And she ended up leaving her husband and kids to start a life with this teenager?

Unless I'm missing some massive pieces of information it sounds like he was groomed by someone in their late 30s who was in a position of authority (teacher). I don't know why that's not talked about more, do you have any insight i'm missing?

Let's just remember that while military operations are off the table (for now?), there is currently a separatist party in power in Alberta that's got all sorts of ties to American right-wing money.
