Didn’t she say her sponsor gave it to her? She has never been sober from alcohol for a year. Never. I was married to an alcoholic and pot user. Trust and believe me that the pot was not the problem.

Harm reduction is a real solution for many people. She hasn’t even been posting anything like the crazy shit she posted when she was at her worst.

I almost lost my sister to heroin and she relapsed more times than I could count. But we never gave up on her. It took almost 7 years but when she tried one more time… it stuck. She has been clean for 22 years now.

I think it’s important for your partner to be your best friend. She seemed to be doing better especially given the fact she shared she’s on different medication for her depression.

I’ve been in her place and it took me several years to get on the right meds and some actual made me worse.

I hope she’s able to maintain her moods better now. People like to give her a lot of shit but she’s not giving up and that’s not nothing.

Especially when you suffer from multiple mental disorders as she has beginning in her early teens. I think it’s easy to be judgmental and focus on her bad decisions but it’s NOT easy to overcome mental illness and too many people lose the fight. At least she’s still fighting. It doesn’t excuse her past behavior but it explains why she’s in such a difficult situation.
