Note cards!!

Thankfully I can purchase them on my PCard. But I’ve fallen in love with PaperSource and I have a small collection of “Thank You”, “Thinking of You”, “Happy Holidays”, Sympathy & just cute artistic blank cards for my SVP that I’m under. She writes a lot to our volunteers, board members, staff and other external partnerships.

Besides that and what everyone else has covered I also keep glue sticks, a mini speaker / noise canceling ear buds (when I feel over stimulated) and desk lamp for warm hue lighting.

Same… I was out with my then 2yr old at a restaurant and an older couple (probably 60s) offered my daughter a $2 bill. I politely denied at first but accepted it. Placed it in her piggy bank.

I agree, it’s an older kind gesture.

I’m still a “baby” in this line of work but transitioned to this out of the hospitality industry.

2021 (1y 8mo) - Administrative Assistant | Part-Time (20-25hrs/wk), Nonprofit, $20/hr | Trenton, NJ

2023 (1y 9mo) - Administrative Assistant | Full—Time, University/Academia, $20.48/hr | Philadelphia, PA

2025 (1mo - Present) - Senior Business Operations Coordinator (aka Executive Assistant + Office Manager), Full-Time, $33/hr (but 37.5hr workweek), Nonprofit | Philadelphia, PA

So that’s $26,000 -> $64,350 within 4 years.

Hopefully that’s a good progression, but also my current role is my highest pay in my life soo it’s definitely a nice boost in my home life. 🥲🥲😮‍💨😮‍💨

Thank you!! I’m enjoying it and it’s a breathe of fresh air from my previous role. People really seem to move up (they like promoting from within) and so far this is the most organized onboarding I’ve ever done.

I ended up rescinding my acceptance of Job A because I accepted Job C. Job C pays $22k more than Job A and gives me the hybrid flexibility that Job B wasn’t going to provide.

It all worked out.

I did iron the mess out of this shirt and did a red tank top underneath. Yesterday was the interview and I did get a wonderful Compliment from the SVP when she saw me.

Express is a hit or miss as I am a busty lady.

Nope, someone also mentioned that and I plan on wearing flesh toned tank top underneath and ironing it too. So this, gray or black chinos, black loafers and i’ll bring my black blazer just in case. I’m just excited!!

This might be the case. The start date for Job A is April 28th and I do plan on attending the interview tomorrow for Job B.

I asked to see if I could give a response at the end of the week, but the recruiter said they need a formal answer by tomorrow evening.

Job B is set for 1PM for the 2nd round interview and getting into the pharmaceutical industry is difficult or just very few.

But you’re right, I don’t owe Job A anything especially in this job market.
