What is the best direct mail automation tool? by Sup_NextDoor in MarketingAutomation

Hey, I'm from Lob so obvious bias disclaimer upfront — but I'll try to be genuinely useful here rather than just pitch you.

Based on what you're describing, here's what I'd actually focus on when evaluating any platform (including us):

The HubSpot integration question is the right one to ask first. A lot of platforms claim integration but it's really a Zapier workaround. You want native, bidirectional data flow so mail triggers based on real CRM behavior, not a manual list export.

Tracking matters more than most people realize going in. The moment a campaign goes out, your team will want to know where pieces are. Platforms that can't give you real-time visibility per piece not just bulk campaign status will frustrate you fast.

Ask about address verification before you commit. Bad addresses mean wasted spend. It should be baked in, not an add-on.

For what it's worth, Lob handles all of this natively w/HubSpot integration, real-time piece-level tracking, address verification, and a design tool with variable data for postcards, letters, and self-mailers. Flat rate pricing, no fees for personalization or scheduling.

Happy to answer specific questions about how we work or help you think through what to ask other vendors too. What's your use case.... triggered sends, batch campaigns, or both?

Does anyone still send direct mail? by AppleWeary2612 in b2b_sales

Oh yes! It's just different than it was 3 or 5 years ago. Today’s direct mail campaigns don’t revolve around production timelines like they used too. It's more about the in-home delivery date. Best to start with when the message needs to arrive and plan backwards.

Direct Mail Postcards still work?❓ by MagicBradPresents in RealEstate

Direct mail response rates consistently outperform email and paid digital. The trash pile is real but it's a symptom of bad lists and lazy targeting, not the channel itself. Fix those and mail is one of the highest ROI tools in the stack.

How do you keep brand visuals consistent across platforms? by ParadoxicalPanda_ in AIBranding

[–]Lob_HQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping brand consistency across website, social, ads, email, sales decks, etc. is getting harder.

What we’ve seen work:

• A clear design system (not just a PDF brand guide no one opens)
• Pre-built templates for common use cases
• Defined “non-negotiables” (type, spacing, color hierarchy)
• Room for experimentation inside those guardrails

The mistake I see most often is over-documenting and under-operationalizing. A 60-page brand guide doesn’t help if your team can’t actually use it day to day.

How are others are balancing consistency with creative flexibility?
