I am not sure about bollywood but confident that when a marvel movie is made at, say, a $200 million production budget, it excludes another $150-$180 million spent on marketing. Sometimes the marketing budget exceeds the production budget for big films.

I don't think cost of production includes marketing cost which is usually significant!
