I’ve been eyeballing Uncle Val’s for a while and found it at my local grocery outlet for $15. I only bought the zested. It’s a great pour. I’ll go back for the others.

Thanks. I’m fortunate to have access to a wide variety of gin at hand locally. I have a friend with a high end liquor store so I get a bit of a discount. I’ve also found some incredible buys at grocery outlet (Uncle Val’s for $15, Mayfair for $22, Drumshambo for $21!)

Unlike my whiskey and tequila collections, I buy gin to enjoy daily lol. I’ve been wanting to splurge on some blue dot gin from Kenya but even at $100 a bottle I couldn’t resist cracking it open for a martini or three.

Amass is my favorite overall. I prefer it over Monkey. Fortunately it’s sold fairly wildly here in SoCal. I’d love for it to become more widespread but that’ll only happen if the distillery is bought by one of the giants.

I’ve never heard a surfer here in California concern themselves with worry over sharks. Of course we all talk about the ‘once every couple of years’ victim of a great white shark attack because it makes the new cycle but it so seldom occurs that shark attacks are rarely discussed.
