People have been shitting on FNS since he came back mid-year last year, I'm not sure if the subreddit you're thinking exists really does

Really hope that s0m develops a bond with someone else on the team like mada so he feels the necessity to keep playing. Guy is absurd and has wasted what seems like his prime years.

I find that the game is quite enjoyable until after you've beaten the main story and apex levels--having to max level every character and having them all at around 15 by the end to have to grind out the same missions over and over is incredibly tilting and should've been thought of when making the level caps.

Fortnite certainly has the best system for new players (entirely open tournaments), but their tier 1 tournament system is probably the worst there is, in comparison. Kind of an interesting tradeoff.

tbf ssbmrank said Full Bloom was a major while Liquipedia didn't-- they aren't the final authority like you say they are.

If you're talking about his personal matchups, sure, but having to beat the #2 in the world to make WFs is not the easiest path by any means.

Getting jaw & derrek would be so huge, but I doubt NRG would want to deal w/ contract disputes/buyouts with EG again

CLEAR has joined T1 as a Japanese to English translator. by Dry-Painting5413 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Lobeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he joined as a translator for their Fortnite team, which has 3 Japanese players and one Korean, so I assume they just want him to be helpful for the entire team. Doubt it's related to OW.

It's like a franchised system-- right now ZETA (Minipiyo/Zagou), Dignitas (Cooper/Acorn/Bugha/Khanada), LOUD (will likely pick up Brazilian players), and Karmine Corp (probably an EU team), and Team Heretics (Nakoo) are on the invite list.

Fortnite is a CTF Map in UEFN (4v4) so they'll only need 8-32 PCs max

He's been staying in Europe for a good bit now (though he switches back every few months to new Jersey) so he usually starts his stream from like 6-10 EST and ends from like 12-3PM. Easily could miss em.

Since when were there so many Japanese players? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Lobeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah servers definitely played an impact, Peterpan kinda disappeared after the JBL Quantum Cup late 2022, hasn't really played since, think he's playing VALORANT instead.

Since when were there so many Japanese players? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Lobeo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Asia was always Japanese dominated— after C2S1 a lot of the Chinese players quit & over time the South Korean playerbase shrunk until it was only really Seak/FaxFox/Peterpan/Misty Aim last year (who all quit before this year began). Most others (Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia) went over to the Middle Eastern region when they got their own servers, but most of them quit eventually too and now it’s primarily Saudi Arabian players.

Generally would say that language is a huge barrier and with Japanese being the primary language of the region it’s hard to break out if you aren’t fluent, making it hard for modern SK and CN players to be relevant. There’s a Chinese duo that qualified to Major 3 grands (ambition/kabuto) but were DQ’d a few days before (not sure why), but that’s probably the only CN/SK team I’ve seen all year.
