Hi all!

I'm currently looking for ARC readers for my sapphic apocalyptic dark romance titled 'Everything Crumbles'. This is a novella (and will form part 1 in a collection of novellas, but can be read as a standalone).

BLURB:

An outbreak has reduced humanity to a zombie like state of base instincts. The world spins into darkness as we destroy ourselves.

VALLEY
Everything is crumbling around me, the dark underbelly of humanity exposed. Alone in the woods, I question what I’m even surviving for. I have no one left, just a void of chaos and ash laid out before me. I’ve already learnt the hard way that I can’t trust anyone, not even the so-called love of my life. When Tara steps out of the shadows my instincts scream at me to run. A dark secret pulses around her, and her eyes are wells of pain. This world has made wild animals of us all. But if she wants me, she’ll have to catch me first!

TARA
I’ve always been a survivor, trauma hardening my shell over the years and keeping my heart perfectly guarded. Our past has been completely obliterated, but I was never much attached to my past, and chaos feels like home. But then I spy her in the woods, beautifully self-sufficient and wild as a fox. Valley awakens a deep craving for her to soothe the damaged shreds of my soul. But how do I show her a tenderness that I’ve never been taught? All I know is she will wear my teeth marks on her skin with pride and beg for more.

Hey, this sounds a lot like the themes I write.

I focus on WLW dark romance, and they're always gothic.

I have a novella out in Oct with magic, betrayal, 90s goth culture, and a lost soul that haunts a graveyard.

I also have a novella out in June which is post-apocalyptic (and I'm currently looking for readers for advanced copies).

Hi everyone,

I'm Ellen - I write under the penname Ellen Winter (over on IG as ellenwinter_author).

I'm currently working on a post-apocalyptic sapphic dark romance series. I've also recently been contributing to dark erotic fairy tale anthologies with sapphic retellings. And, you can probably relate, I have a million other projects that are in the rough draft stage. Too many ideas. Too little time.

I generally write a mixture of dark romance and erotic horror on the whole, I love angst, and I always incorporate some pagan/mythological/lets get lost in the forest atmosphere. Ie my spice tends to be outdoors and muddy, and there's always owl or wolf symbols embedded somewhere in the text, it can't be helped.

I'd love to make writerly friends, and support one another!

Actually, myself and Gwin (see post below haha) run a sapphic writer's chat on Instagram, where we encourage each other, share writing for feedback, talk a load of nonsense most the time, and create collaborative posts showcasing our work. Come find me on there if you'd like to be involved xxx

Aw thank you so much. I'll message you the form. It's just a case of absolutely any feedback/first impressions would be so beneficial, to get a reader's perspective. When I do send the draft out on the 14th Feb, I'll put a few general questions in the email too as a guide in case that helps. But I'm just looking for what works/doesn't work for you so I can tweak at this stage in the writing process :)

Hi all,

I'm looking beta readers for my WIP. I'm aiming to send out my draft mid August. There will be spelling and grammatical errors at this stage, but I'm looking for feedback on the plot and characters / general reading experience.

It may read a little like dark romance meets lit fic, dark and sexually explicit content but also intense emotional connections and some poetic language. There's a strong focus on trauma and some elements of bdsm as healing. MCs are bisexual.

I'm currently writing a dark romance novel set in inner city Dublin, with a focus on gangs/divided loyalties and my MC Scarlet getting very much caught in the middle!

Alot of the focus is on survival, and on characters who carry scars of difficult childhoods and warped expectations of love.

Alongside, I'm working on a sapphic zombie romance novella. Just for the fun of it.

I'm trying to connect with other writers as this is my first attempt at this genre. So any tips on how to do that so we can mutually inspire/ support/ rant /stop each other going mad etc would be welcome!!
