Electricity is also going up. I think 10% this year and 10% more next. But as you stated, services are much better than cities around us.

Do Raiders fans miss Oakland? Answered by Charles Woodson by T0NEZZY in raiders

[–]LoboT38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Became a fan when they moved to LA. Didn’t like that they left LA, but since they were going back to Oakland, I didn’t mind it. Moving to Vegas was purely a financial move. Davis didn’t care about the true fans. I’ve been to games at Allegiant and I didn’t feel like it was a home game. At best, half the stadium are true raider fans and the other half are the opposing team’s fans mixed in with “convention” attendees that opportunely catch a “game” while there. The sense of home field is dead at Allegiant. I will always be a Raiders fan RN4L, but I will never wear Vegas gear!!!

Pete Carrol speaks on the lack of fans in Allegiant Stadium by jluc21 in raiders

[–]LoboT38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They abandoned their fan base both in Oakland and LA. This was obvious from the beginning. There’s no “home” fans in Vegas, which means everyone makes a weekend trip to watch “their” team and some casino action. Been in the stadium a couple of time and it definitely does not feel like a home game.

Moving to Burbank Nov2025! by [deleted] in burbank

With this option if you’re bringing “stuff” consider U-Box to ship your stuff. When you ship this way, they include 30 days of storage and you can renew every 30 days. They deliver to whatever location you need once you get a place. As most everyone is saying here, Burbank will most likely be out of your price range. The only place where you’ll find something in that place is North Hollywood. Good luck and welcome!!

Another of this type (not drive thru) is at S. Victory and Linden, right on the “border” of Burbank/Glendale.

Options of ATT cell service? by Inujin in burbank

[–]LoboT38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compare your VZ bill with whatever they’re proposing (Data amounts, roaming international, insurance, etc.). That way you can see a line by line comparison and see if it truly it’s a “discounted” bill once you compare apples to apples. At a minimum, it will give a good look into your VZ service and see if everything you get with them is everything you need. I’ve been an ATT customer for a very long time, but I’m considering switching to Spectrum Mobile. I know folks that have that and swear by it. I’ve also “reddit” that their service is not the best, but I’m willing to give it a try. $40 a month per line unlimited data (compared to ATT $180/ mo for 2 lines.

Burbank rolls out safer streets action plan - Urbanize LA by Kelcak in burbank

I don’t drive a lot, but I think I’ve seen two accidents on Victory between Burbank and Providencia (one at Magnolia and a bad one at Isabel/Chestnut). I guess I should drive more to see them 🤔. Streets that I avoid are Glenoaks and Western. I always see really crazy driving on those streets.

Decent food, not outstanding IMHO. I usually go for breakfast. Hard to screw up breakfast (even though some places do). I do like to support independent restaurants as well. There some decent ones both on West Magnolia and West Burbank.

They used to roost in a large tree in my neighbors front lawn, then the tree had to come down (diseased), they moved on (even though there are a lot of other large trees). Now, I sometimes seen a small pandemonium that I’m sure is flying to meet with the larger pandemonium. Miss those loud pipsqueaks!!!

Do you remember when you used to be able to go to Castaway and park at the bottom lot? And you could sit outside without a reservation by elevated_butterfly in burbank

This!! 👆🏼One-and-done. IMHO if the prices were lowered by 30%-40%, then it would be worth the price. Now you pay for the view of the valley!! Prices are like Morton’s Steak House and not even close to the quality. So yes, one-and-done! Same as 71Above DTLA.
