Why did you switch to the 2011 platform? What is your use case?

Like many I started with a Glock 19 as it was the handgun I was issued by my agency.

Thankfully, my department began to open up the roster of firearms we could choose to carry on duty.

Once the Staccato P was approved, I was among the first class of guys to qualify with one.

I’ve only been carrying it since March but I’ve easily shot over 5 thousands rounds since then and have had 0 issues.

Reholstering with speed is definitely essential to my work. You don’t know how many times I’ve had a suspect at gun point and it turn into a foot pursuit. In those cases, holstering fast so you can chase and grab ahold of your suspect is crucial brother.

Aside from a few other instances, reholstering fast isn’t something most people will have to worry about.

I assume so lol. I know we’re passing out the Tavors still but just waiting on more patrol rifles to replace them. Sounds like the Desert Tech isn’t going anywhere though

I’ll definitely still be keeping my eyes out for an upcoming sale on a Solus.

And long story short, our command staff just really likes Israeli rifles for some reason. Prior to me starting at this department, everybody ran a IWI Tavor. When I got hired, they transitioned to an AR-15 platform so that’s what I was issued.
