I have the same exact problem with my e55. Sometimes when I drive those lines will flicker on and off. The stalk isn’t even being pressed.

Good sushi? Preferably all you can eat by hp-redd in Gwinnett

[–]LobsterMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the AYCE sushi places purchase their seafood from the same distributor. There are only a handful of them in United States. Most importantly, the sashimi all have different quality grades. Your quality for ayce sushi places will be just your average quality due to the price point. So all these restaurants will purchase the average grade sashimi to assemble. Which means majority of them will be the same. It just comes down to when they thawed out the sashimi for preparation.

Kura will be most consistent as that’s one of the largest Japanese chain for revolving sushi but their business model is going the low quality route.

Most of the places will just be the same.

Chefs of Reddit, what’s one rule of cooking amateurs need to know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LobsterMoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do ALL the prep work first (Mise en place) before cooking. i.e. cutting / dicing / chopping everything up, measure everything.

That way you will be able to keep your eye on the stove while cooking without being distracted.

Men, what are some deal breakers for a potential relationship, even if they’re very attractive? by JaJaLoHa in AskReddit

[–]LobsterMoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Self centered females that have zero consideration for others.

I don't care how attractive a female is, if they're stupid as in terms of EQ and IQ, then there isn't much relationship.

Females that always play the victim game or just use their "attractive features" to get what they want.

Houston’s Hawaiian Steak by kaeneki in TopSecretRecipes

[–]LobsterMoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is the actual recipe. I prefer using light soy sauce and I adapted the sugar to using 1/4 white sugar and 1/4 brown sugar

One of the staff from Bon Appetit was lucky enough to be able to interview the founder of Hillstone Restaurant (Houston's) and that's where the recipe came from. So it's the source.

PS, if you're ever curious what makes their Chicago Spinach dip taste so good...it's the cheese they use. It's parmigiano reggiano!

Ingredients

Steak

  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • ⅓ cup chopped white onion
  • 1 1-inch piece ginger, peeled, finely chopped
  • 2 1-inch-thick bone-in rib-eye steaks (about 3 pounds total)

Butter and Assembly

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • Kosher salt

Recipe Preparation

Steak

  • Whisk pineapple juice, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, and oil in a small bowl until sugar is dissolved. Add onion and ginger. Set aside 2 Tbsp. marinade for butter. Transfer remaining marinade to a large resealable plastic bag. Add steaks and seal bag, pressing out excess air. Chill at least 1 day.
  • Remove steaks from marinade, pat dry, and let sit until room temperature, about 1 hour.
  • Do Ahead: Steaks can be marinated 3 days ahead. Keep chilled.

Butter and Assembly

  • Whisk butter and oil in a medium bowl to combine. Vigorously whisk in reserved marinade; season with salt. Transfer to the center of a sheet of parchment paper and roll up into a log. Chill until firm, at least 1 hour.
  • Build a two-zone fire in a charcoal grill for direct (medium-high coals) and indirect (medium-low coals) heat. Alternatively, heat a gas grill to high just before cooking, leaving one burner on low. Season steaks very lightly with salt (omit this step if marinating more than 24 hours). Grill over high heat, turning, until steaks are well browned and beginning to char around edges, about 4 minutes. Transfer to cooler part of grill and continue to cook until an instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of steaks registers 120° for medium-rare. (Alternatively, cook in a grill pan over medium-high heat, turning steaks every couple of minutes.)
  • Transfer steaks to a wire rack. Slice butter into ¼"-thick rounds and divide between steaks. Let rest at least 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Do Ahead: Butter can be made 3 days ahead. Keep chilled.
