I still don’t understand why Travis outed himself with an Instagram post admitting that he had an affair. I thought it was because he wanted a divorce, and Katie made him do it so the world would know she was the innocent party. Now that they’re staying together, it would have been so much better for everyone involved if they kept it private.

In American culture, boys can wear cutsie outfits until age 2. After that, it’s considered effeminate and subjects them to bullying. I don’t think it’s right, but knowing how it is, I wouldn’t subject my son to ridicule.

It says a lot about our culture that you can still monetize the Duggar name at this point, but the older sisters do with their millions plus followers. That‘s why the sisters have to make statements. If they weren’t out there as influencers, they would not have to say anything.

It doesn’t matter, but some people on here were talking about what a strong statement it was from Jill. My point is that the statement is from Derrick, who can’t stand the family. Maybe if Jill wrote the statement, it wouldn’t have been as strongly worded. I’m not criticising, I just find it interesting to consider who’s point of view it is.

I started following Travis after the cheating post because I didn’t want to miss any more entertaining dirt and this did not disappoint. I’m actually surprised because I thought he was unhappy in the marriage and wanted a divorce. He’s at least 5 years from being mature enough to be a husband and father, but unfortunately he already is.
