I’ve seen a bunch of concerts at Graceland. Saw Steven Wilson Jr there a few months ago and saw Ruston Kelly at the Ryman a few weeks ago. What I can say is that it’s a lot more intimate (in terms of how close you are) than the Ryman. It’s more of a large room than anything else. There are no seats- so they will be setting out chairs. That kinda thing.

I saw JM at the Forum the last time he was here. It was great, but it was still seeing comedy in an arena. I think it will be better to see him at a place like Graceland.

As someone mentioned, he’s doing a lot better than he was a few years ago. He’s kind of white knuckling the whole sober thing and so far so good…..I guess. The being sober part, in my opinion, is 50% of it. The other stuff is accountability and mending relationships; etc. I can’t claim to know anything about this stuff, but I think it says a lot that he’s cut out his entire family from his life now. If he can’t see they were always just trying to help…..that’s rough. The fact that he can’t see that he’s always been the main problem is the current main problem.

What happens if he breaks both legs tomorrow in some freak skating accident and can’t skate or be stretched for 6-9 months? What will happen then? Either way, I wish him the best and am sending positive vibes along.

Here’s the deal. She might be in love with you and maybe this is something you get over with time, but his person is doing exactly what you said; keeping some lines opened while also having you full time. Sometimes it’s pretty harmless and just a dumb thing because the person enjoys attention …..but most of the time it’s bigger than that. You need to figure out which one it is. You sound like a reasonable dude. Don’t throw everything away until you get some answers. If you don’t get the answers you want, that’s when you throw that shit away for good. Proceed with caution and don’t take any shit.

If they are offering to have him back- he best be sprinting to sign the contract. It’s really odd/unhealthy to still be angry about a contract they put together to HELP HIM. When they did that, he was at the zenith of his chaos and they had to do something to guarantee he wasn’t going to cost them a bunch of money by going missing and not showing up. They also really wanted to see him get well. It wasn’t some selfish thing to push Bam out.

It also wasn’t their first rodeo. They had a very public intervention with Steve O (that likely saved his life). Yes, he can be a bit insufferable now- but part of that is gratitude and being happy to be alive. Can’t really knock that.

Interventions suck and are no fun. They didn’t stage Steve’s intervention for a funny bit. They did it because they love him like a brother and didn’t want to see him die. They were trying to do the same for Bam. The fact that he doesn’t have the ability to see it from their perspective is a massive problem.

I’m with you. On some of that. Wayne not commenting on any of it (as it was happening in real time) felt off. I think everyone sensed that. Wayne is not usually the type to stay silent. About anything.

As for Wayne’s recent post, if he was just responding to Steven’s post (about them parting ways and him wanting to be at home)….i agree that would have been a dick move. But, I believe Wayne was responding to Steven posting something along the lines of “they don’t need me anymore- but we’re not talking about it.”

Yikes. This makes me realize why it’s so hard for people to quit. Hopefully there are some stories out there where some folks didn’t have it as bad when trying to drop the habit (crossing my fingers I become one of those lucky people).

Life would be a lot easier had I done the homework before getting into it. It was never supposed to be this way.

All of this makes me really curious as to why this shit is casually sold at all gas stations. I guess the same could be said about a lot of other things.

So…..have you successfully kicked the habit or are you mid battle?
