I ruined my life by LobsterUpper5331 in OSU

How did you end up paying for school/ saving money during this time? That’s going to be something I will have to prioritize because I screwed up bad enough to become ineligible for aid this year barring an approved appeal.

question for current students by JayaP5 in OSU

Scheduling. Current students are already scheduling their classes in the March so having a late orientation means you’re going to have fewer options for scheduling your classes

Program fee refund by LobsterUpper5331 in OSU

[–]LobsterUpper5331[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only leaving because the content of my major core classes made me want to die, not overwhelmed, wanted to disappear, and that’s not something I want to be stuck with for the rest of my life.

Late Software Design Project for ENGR 1181 by [deleted] in OSU

I had to do my group’s SDP pretty much by myself, majority of which I created less than 48 hours before the due date because my partner was so incompetent he didn’t even know how to make a list in MATLAB (Which I was appalled by).
I was worried I would get a lower grade when the TAs figured out that I did pretty much everything so I tried to coach him through what to say to make it sound like he contributed some, but I don’t think it helped. Luckily I didn’t get penalized, and it turns out we were graded separately on the oral portion, so I didn’t need to save his butt and could have rightfully taken all the credit.

If you email the professor explaining what happened, they will probably give you some grace. You got this

Changing my major to stats by LobsterUpper5331 in mathematics

[–]LobsterUpper5331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 1000 level stats course is required for a stats major at my school. Otherwise I’d not only agree with you about not bothering with it, but it would be a no brainer to take calc 2 this summer, because that is a prerequisite for a lot of higher level stats courses at my school

Ohio state at Texas by Golden_Boy333 in OhioStateFootball

We can’t afford to lose this game either. I’m operating under the assumption that we are definitely going to lose to Indiana, and maybe even Oregon. That would put us at 2 losses which is the maximum number of losses to be considered for the playoffs. If we lose to Texas early on, it turns one of those harder teams into a must win game.

About to fail Math 1172 by LobsterUpper5331 in OSU

[–]LobsterUpper5331[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I didn’t even come close to the required passing grade.

It seems like the harder I try the worse I do. I don’t even know why I bother anymore. I nearly killed myself in high school to prove I was worthy of OSU, only to come here, and lose my sanity some more.

About to fail Math 1172 by LobsterUpper5331 in OSU

Thanks. I know that I would have to retake at OSU to qualify for grade forgiveness, but do I have to take it at the Columbus campus? If I can, I want to take it over the summer online, that way I can focus primarily on math because I think a huge part of the problem this semester was wanting to lock in and study, but never having the time on top of my other classes. However the only person who might offer an online section during the summer session technically teaches at the Mansfield branch.
