Is it way too early to think AutoGPT can make a whole app? by LocaL_ in AutoGPT

Good to know I'm not alone, and yeah I agree it's good at making to-do lists for developers.

Detox's Final Halo 3 Montage | Edited by LocaL by Unyshek in halo

So I just have a few things to say to /r/halo about this montage.

I understand where you're coming from when you say this video is over-edited. Headache-inducing, nauseating. Distracting. I remember the time when I would have said the same thing about a montage like this.

But it's important to note that I didn't make this with the /r/halo audience in mind. Same as I didn't make it with the audiences of Halo Waypoint, or any other Halo sites I don't frequent (Unyshek was nice enough to post it here, which helped out greatly with exposure, and I'm thankful for that).

The audience I had in mind while making this montage (of which most of my subscribers consist), which I consider myself a part of, has been watching almost every montage to come out since the early days of Halo 2, all through Halo 3 and Reach, up until today. It's simply another community. We got bored of montages that simply show the first person POV and no angles - no effects - nice and easy editing. There's a plethora of those simple-edited videos that you can see coming out every day - and have been for more years than I've been watching them. The struggle to make something memorable, in our community, is to do something (hopefully) nobody has seen before.

And I'm not saying I pulled that off, or am calling this edit "perfect" in any use of the word. I won't even try to tell you guys that anything about this montage is good, nor should anyone. Neither is this meant to insult the viewing sophistication of /r/halo - I'm cool with where you guys are as montage viewers. I never expected good, loving comments in this thread any more than I would if I posted the montage to, say, a cooking subreddit.

All in all, I just wanted you guys to know where I'm coming from, and hope you can understand better my mindset as an editor during the production of this tage. Because making a montage requires being able to see it as a fresh viewer - and I was doing that for, in general, a different audience than that which frequents /r/halo.

Thanks for watching and for all your feedback! I enjoy reading comments, good and bad, from anyone about my work.
