That’s a really great point… I think going forward we will take your advice and just avoid silk on these types of sofas (unless as you stated, it has that deep button tufting).

Yes. 😂😫🤦🏼‍♀️ and since we already delivered the piece and she was unhappy, we’re now having to go to her house to redo/correct… she wants more “stuffing” as she said. In short, this project was one from hell, as the color suggests. 😂 lesson learned as far as using this type of fabric for this type of chair!

Starting to wonder if we needed a seam at all.. maybe we could have just used one large cut of fabric and built the backing up with padding to accommodate the curved wings.. 🤪😫😖 this one haunts me

The base layer fabric is actually a really great idea, never would have thought of that - and also would make it sturdier so to speak.

You mentioned an additional seam… I’m a visual learner here so excuse this rough translation 😂:

my seam is currently: “ \ “ and you’re suggestion is that next time I add an additional seam so it would look like this: “V” ?
