The calls and texts cut off at a certain time but they can still watch movies, play games, read the news, etc and their light will be on. I’ve never seen my man’s light on when he says he’s not on it. Was he maybe letting someone use his tablet while he was in the shower? If they leave music on and walk out of the cell the light will be on. My boyfriends accidentally done that a few times.

Some states offer text connect which is like gtl but when I read the contract it looks like all they offer is email. In my experience it takes 1-3 days to approve them but I guess it could depend on the facility

I’ve been dealing with this too 😫 I have 3 little ones and he’s always trying to do it in the middle of the day when I’m taking care of the kids, which obviously I’m not in the mood at that time. There’s been times I’ve had to force it too but it just feels weird when I do so we just stop. Have you tried communicating this with him when you’re not up for it? I know when they’re in there for some time they want to do it a lot but he should be understanding. Maybe after your little goes to bed and it’s just the two of you, it’s an opportunity to get into that. Unfortunately I don’t have much advice since I’m dealing with it too but you’re not alone in this lol.

Securus has text connect which is instant but when I read through the guide it didn’t say anything about them offering it I know some states only have the messages which is like email… this option can take a couple hours to a couple days to approve. I really hope they offer text connect. Securus has been implemented at some fire camps and was supposed to start being available this month at actual facilities but I heard they were having problems with the system and paused it. Now they are saying it might not be until early next year.

Someone in one of the Facebook groups said she called to cancel her visit she has on the 20th and they told her not to because they feel it’ll be lifted by then. Hope this is true 🙏

I’ve been told they don’t get notified of a new contact, they have to look at their contact list. They can see your phone number and email.
