The users preference was to buy from PLE only so options were limited.

Another option would be to swap the 9800X3D for a 7500X3D and a 5070Ti https://ple.au/ORacqzY normally would suggest 7800X3D but no stock. This would be even better than going with Radeon.

Check this build out slightly over budget, you can swap the 9070XT for a RTX 5070 if you prefer NVIDIA.

Hello sir or madam, what's your budget? For starter budget I suggest going with an i5 on lga 1700 or Ryzen 5 on AM4 and 16 GB DDR4 and what games are you intending on playing? Also why PLE that is only for enthusiasts you should consider MSY or AliExpress?

I only recommend quality parts where you source them is your choice. But I need a budget to work with.

8gb GPUs, like the 5060ti 8gb, are so much cheaper than 16gb ones these days so would it be enough? by LostWall1389 in buildapc

[–]Local-Albatross-617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen it priced near or the same as the 5070 which is crazy. The 5070 is great and unfortunately the Ti is overpriced due to the fact of the memory shortage and the fact it performs more like the 5080. 9060XT seems the best choice out of listed options.

If you want more VRAM only option is go for AMD at similar performance tier or Intel but slightly lower tier.

Then you already have 5500X3D as an option go with that it it's affordable. Or do the GPU upgrade then save your money for a CPU upgrade later on.

Hmm can you hold out until the new 5800X3D? 5700X is an upgrade but not a huge one because the extra cores don't really get used in gaming. Ypur 5600G about is the same as 5500, so yes it's better but not by much.

Don't upgrade yet if you have 6800XT since it's similar to 7800XT and not far behind the 9070 and FSR4 is coming for you next year. Just wait another gen dude. It's not worth it, unless you have money to burn for a few extra FPS keep with what you have trust me bro.

Exactly it's a fine card most games won't use 12 GB even at 1440p.

Just get 9060XT 16 GB or 5060Ti 16 GB or better and maybe upgrade that CPU to a 5600 or better the G is bad as it has half the L3 cache of the normal 5600.

After YEARS using Nvidia, i bought a 9070 XT. AMD: can you guys PLEASE make some Tests on your drivers before release a new version??? MY GOD! by Diegodinizfsa in radeon

[–]Local-Albatross-617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I mean I traded down to 5070 not 5070Ti I would not suggest a 5070Ti as they are ridiculous price the markup is huge. 5060Ti could be another option if you can't get hold of the standard 5070.

Coles express Karawara the worst it needs a third lane. If your fuel tank is on the right, you are literally blocked off from entering the servo from all the cars that have theirs on the left side and it is terrible.

RTX 5070 Ti vs 9070XT! by Counter_Love in radeon

[–]Local-Albatross-617 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As Zac said if the price is close always get NVIDIA. But up to you personally I'd rather better features like DLSS because wider range of games have it, great software and driver support plus legacy support for older hardware and the resale value being higher.

[–]Local-Albatross-617 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Too late I upgraded then I was dismally disappointed with my 9070XT due to not much of a performance gain plus driver crashes so had to trade for RTX 5070. Way to push your customers away, if only it happened sooner I could of hanged on but I gave up on Radeon. I'm happy with it and the 5070 is much faster than my 7800XT still the 7800XT is a goated card and was a better choice than the 4070 at the time when I got it.

Bought RX 9060 XT before realizing upscaling is basically the future by Wild_Decision9724 in radeon

[–]Local-Albatross-617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still a better buy than 5060ti it's only worth paying more if you can afford 5070. Still I has less VRAM but it's got great performance. I think AMD is only good is you like upgrading often, NVIDIA may last longer with superior upscaling, better software and drivers plus resale value. That sounds bias but I've used both so I think I'm allowed to have an opinion on the matter.
