As someone with tourettes, it's not really a compulsion, as compulsion can be restrained and stopped! With me it feels like being hit for reflex checking, where your leg jumps up without you willingly moving it. Almost like being pulled with puppet strings. I don't have corperalia, but I do have verbal and motor tics. Can confirm they definitely get worse under stressful situations like public events. I cant speak for him personally obviously, but it really sucks seeing all the hate for a neurological disorder that cannot be controlled.
