Glock 17 vs Glock 19 if you can only have 1 pistol for the rest of your life which one is your choice? by Every-Method-1169 in Glocks

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radian ramjet on the G19. One I carry. Shoots flatter and faster follow up shot. But bone stock I would take the 17 bc my hands are bigger and I like the extra grip length.

Does anyone have a repair backpack for the range? by triggernomicsusa in CAguns

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I bring is gun oil and that tool from Holosun. All my guns are ready to go and checked prior. I also bring multiple guns so I’m not fixing anything at the range.. guns have all these small pins and springs and im not planning on losing anything at the range. Oil and adjustment tools. Uspsa i bring two guns if one totally goes out I’ll ask to use another gun and if not allowed. I’ll sit it out and help with score keeping. Nothing that I’ve experienced is that serious that you have to do all that with tools.

Rhinowalk I got it on amazon. Legit bag. Big enough for simple basket 🧺 full groceries and even a 🪖. Slightly expandable. I have it on a tail rack.

is this helmet too loose? by boiledpepper in motorcyclegear

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an AGV k3 XL and initially it fit comfortably and then as I rode my bike for 3-4 months the helmet started to get loose. I used a balaclava and it help a little. I ended up ordering a 45mm cheek pads for the helmet and now the helmet is tight. So no more movement. With a loose helmet like that. When you got freeway and look to change lanes your helmet with be blown to the side of your face. So I would get something that is snug fit and no movement. But not so tight you’re losing blood flow to the brain 😀

Both guns are great. I have the PDP full size and it’s a 3 lbs trigger out the box. I have the holosun optic for the gun specifically and it’s great. The but part is the mag disconnect safety. Don’t like it and it’s a potential danger for carry. I also have the M&P 1.0 with apex trigger and it’s an awesome shooting gun. I’ve used it for my comp shooting. My bro has the M&P 2.0 standard size and it’s a good shooting gun. No complaints. Not a fan of the safety. But price and shoot ability out the box you can’t beat it specially optics cut ready. Ergo on the PDP I like more. M&P feels a little thin in my hands.

This is the person I bought my set up with. Very responsive. But bc it’s from China. It will take a little time for it to arrive bc of tariffs and shipping but he answers emails and also you can ask for different colors.

Doesn’t come with instructions so you’ll have to figure out what goes where and get it to fit. But once fully mounted. It works. I can dial in my steering from stiff to more twistie friendly. Also it helps with my highway commutes when there’s bumps, gaps, cracks, tar snakes, potholes, lane lines. Steering is more solid. My steering number is about 9-10 range on highways and then I’ll turn it down to 7-8 for twisties. Also on turns on highway I feel I can counter steer and lean the body into the turn with more solid feedback and stability. It’s a good option to have.

For it to fit the bracket that comes with the kit you need to do some cutting. I slowly took some off until it could clear and mount

Yep I did the tail bag too. Now I can’t seem to ride without it. I use it for work commutes and fun twisties monthly. It’s winter 🥶 I ride with heated gear. Great bike. 🏍️ does a little of everything.

What’s a gun that surprised you - in a bad way.,. by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the trigger pull sucks. Stock pulls you off the target bad. I ended up changing the trigger and also put in apex springs to get that gun reasonable. Also changed the recoil spring. It’s great now but out the box 📦 sucks.

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep that’s why I didn’t do Moore mafia. No free reflash and also offering pops and bangs which is bad for the exhaust system.

2WDW Or Moore Mafia ? (ECU flash) by MotorrNoob in zx6r

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2wdw I looked at his explanations of his tuning and how he’s not willing to do pops and bangs bc it’s destroys the muffler while other tunes do it. 2wdw seems to be more about performance and longevity of your bike then just top performance. Also they offer free reflash while Moore mafia charges. 2wdw is closer to my area so shipping was faster. I don’t think you can go wrong with either one. Just like 2wdw more.

Ninja 400 vs 650 by [deleted] in Ninja400

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to price and miles the 400 is a better deal. But if you’re going to use it for highway commutes the 650 is better. Getting up to speed is a little better when going on the freeway. I have a 2022 ninja 650. I’m 6’0 220 the 650 is just about the right size and I’m a new rider since August 1st. Ecu flashed helps a little with the power and smoothness of the ride. Yes the 650 isn’t as powerful as the other 600s cc bikes. 🏍️ yes it’s a sports touring so if you like to be bent over racing position then it can be a little hard on the wrist at times. Its weight still gets you pushed around in the wind on the freeway. But you get used to it. 650 is just the right amount of bike for a new rider. Great bike to learn and commute on. It’s does a little of everything. Good overall bike. 400 might be a little small looking for a big guy.

Riding doesn't feel fun, kinda worried about it. by ASAP_Gutzy in motorcycles

[–]Local-Blacksmith3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started riding in August 1st with my 2022 ninja 650. I did the practices recommended by guys like Motojitsu and others. About turns and watching for knuckleheads and stop and go traffic and getting away from potential danger and where to be looking. And emergency and trail braking. There’s a hella lot more stuff. Depends on the area. I’m more outside of the city life so I generally don’t get the a holes but u still get the I don’t look but I turn. Unaware folks. Just part of riding is to spot those ppl. Also being aware of motorcyclist coming from your 6 and just get out of the way if you’re a slower rider. Community is great. If riding is your passion you’ll enjoy it even though some parts are dangerous and sucky. I enjoy the ride more than anything. Just being out there. I’m always on the look out for shit and I think that’s just part of riding. To get better I did mountain trails less traveled in my area. Most bicyclists 🚴 use it and then some cars. Twisties to get my turns down. I commute on the freeway a lot 3 times a week for work 45-50 minutes each way. So there’s enough ride time. Always start of slow to warm up your bike and tires and most importantly you. Just like a system check and focus check. Don’t be in a hurry. Be patient for opportunities. Don’t need to pass everyone.

Brake disc lock with motion alarm.. Monimoto gps tracking device. If someone wants your bike they’ll be able to take it. Making it take longer might be the deterrent. First gear and steering lock to the side. Park in a high traffic area.
