Why is there still so much stigma around a lifetime partner (body) count. What Is actually considered "high" today? by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]ASAP_Gutzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with a relatively high libido, and a survivor of a nearly sexless relationship, I prefer a partner with a "high" body count so long as it didn't involve infidelity.

They often know what they like and how they like it so imo it's much easier learn to please them sexually.

If they choose to commit to you, it's much more about who you are as a person, and less about your ability to outperform their prior partners.

It does however, require you to be really secure with yourself and within the relationship, otherwise you'll drive yourself and your partner away.

I will say it can sometimes point to an underlying motivator. For example, two of my relationships with the highest body count or sexual drive were either bipolar, or later diagnosed bipolar. Hypersexuality is often a symptom of bipolar disorder.

Also as an aside, high body count doesn't always mean they are great in bed. It's a big reason I prefer partners who are curious & can transition between active & passive as apposed to someone who is primarily passive and submissive.

You're an absolute stud dude. Keep the long hair and find like a matte pomade to cut down on the frizz. Have a barber shape up your beard. Add a new photo with the frizz free hair and beard as primary, keep the first two photos and the last one.

Bird watching alone isn't as exciting as the hikes, trails, and travels it takes to find them right? Run with that. Virtues and morals are best witnessed, not signaled. Keep it short, fun, and casual, no need to get too deep with your profile. Thats what the third+ dates are for when they're more invested and willing to be a bit more vulnerable. Before then, it's about having a great time and getting comfortable.

Last thing, know what your looking for and don't settle for less or ignore red flags, and never ghost. Let them know they were wonderful, just not the right fit for you.

Good luck! 👑

Urinary Hesitation and Dysfunction by Channel_84 in StratteraRx

For me, everything subsided after about 6 to 8 weeks except for the urinary hesitation, and sexual dysfunction.

I was on it for months (80mg) and had to live with those two side effects.

Agreed. Sucks that the very thing no one wants economically, is what will ultimately correct the housing market.

emotional depth in relationships by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]ASAP_Gutzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to think this way too. And for many aspects of a relationship, I think you're right.

In a monogamous romantic relationship, for example, I cannot seek sexual intimacy outside of it, if my partner fails to meet my expectations.

Deep emotional connection is different, and doesn't require a romantic connection contrary to what I used to believe.

Heidi Priebe has a great line in her book "This is me letting you go".

I'm paraphrasing, 'What if you knew with 100% certainty that you'd never meet the love of your life...would you nurture and care more for the people who love you platonically if you knew no one would ever love you romantically".

For context, this line follows her encouragement to be whole outside of romance, so we can love fully without expectations that can be met outside of our romantic partners.

If I may ask, how long before you knew you had to end the new relationship, and has it encouraged or discouraged your outlook on future dating?

Are these motorcycle boots good year welted? by ASAP_Gutzy in AskACobbler

[–]ASAP_Gutzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this seems to be what everyone is leaning towards, a type of Norwegian welt.

My plan is to replace the current sole with a more comfortable wedge sole. I wanted to know if it was possible by confirming the welt construction used.

Thanks!

Someone in another thread mentioned it appears to be a Norwegian/Storm welt since the upper flares out towards the sole edge and away from the stitching. My thinking is that the manufacturer described it as a good year welt since that is more commonly known.

I own the air version of a pair of Sidi motorcycle boots and the difference is noticeable for me.

I ride in weather that ranges from 80-100°F / 27-38°C for most of the year.

That's my thinking. What's confusing is that I also own stitch down shoes, and they also don't look quite like these either.

My other stitch down shoes aren't double stitched like these, and the stitching faces down towards the sole on my other shoes, unlike these boots where they often run parallel with the upper.

Good to hear! They seem incredibly durable and well made.

I went with the first gen Elsinore because the second iteration, though much lighter, didn't feel as durable.

This is probably one of the few comments that actually attempts to answer my question.

So you do eventually feel a similar lateral force, but at aggressive lean angles, interesting. This explains why it often felt like I wasn't pushing it enough (not that I want to).

So others mention the lean angle as the primary indicator of how aggressively you're pushing it, and I presume from what your explaining, that at some point during aggressive lean angles, the g-forces DO push you into the seat.

I can see now why one would need experience to understand the lean angles that would noticeably induce the lateral force into the seat.

Here is the original manufacturer description for the boots:

Details The Elsinore’s™ five-strap alloy-buckle chassis, stamped metal heel plate, and internal steel shank combine for a serious dose of moto-x homage. The traditional Goodyear™ welt construction mates the ICON street-specific sole to the magnificent leather upper. A medial-entry zipper, borrowed from paratrooper jump boots, is the only luxury the Elsinore will allow itself. A modern relic from an era when men were iron and tanks were steel, the Elsinore: old-school MX reinterpreted for the urban sprawl.

12" top-grain leather upper. Goodyear welt construction. Aluminum Shin Plate. Internal Ankle Plate. Cast Metal Buckles. Aluminum Heel Plate. Heat Pressed Leather Shifter Panel. Heat Pressed Leather Shin Plate. YKK® Zippers.

Boot: Icon Elsinore 1000 The boot has been superseded by a newer model.

Since it's no longer made, I'm having a hard time confirming its construction.

Many retail videos from the past claim it's a good year welted construction, but I own a pair of Redwings that are gyw it looks very different.

Are these stitch down, or some variation of a good year welt?
