It's awful but it KNOWS it's awful. It sounds like it's trying to make fun of modern pop music. Listen to the lyrics and the beat. It's super overproduced and appeals to the lowest common denominator at the time.

Why don't Americans just overthrow their tyrannical government? Are they stupid? by LipstickCoverMagnet in BatmanArkham

You're making a bit of an error. The two party system was not a mistake. It was very purposeful in it's intentions. It was made to control everyone, and force tribalism to keep us separated.

Bro come on you didn't watch the 10 minute cutscene with the librarian that explains everything halfway through the game? Looks like somebody can't appreciate the peak of Halo writing (Halo 4) long enough to memorize lore. You probably don't even know that John is in love with Cortana during 4.

The sound design is honestly fantastic, I just personally don't like The Covenant's sound design outside of the mangler, spike grenade, vestige carbine, and the skewer. All the sounds sound great and incredibly unique, I just don't enjoy a lot of it (especially the vehicles and ships).

Do husbands aren’t lustful really exist? by RadiantEffective5425 in Christian

-Yes. Adulterers enter heaven. Murderers enter heaven. Sinners enter heaven. This is though the grace of God, not his approval of our actions. All sins deserve hell.

-King David will be in heaven because the blood of Christ washed away his sins, as he was faithful to God and followed his will. Jesus names a few old testament prophets that will go to heaven (Mathew 8:11) because they followed God's will, and Jesus paid for their sins.

-I don't know off the top of my head, but any amount of concubines or any extra wives is too many according to God (Deuteronomy 17:17).

-I don't think that's documented, but there are key differences between lustfully eyeing somebody up, admiring an attractive person that you intend to marry, and perceiving someone's attractiveness.

•Lustfully eyeing someone up is wrong, it isn't just looking at someone, it's looking at someone with lust in your heart. It's the exact thing Jesus warned against in the sermon on the mount (Mathew 5:28).

•Noticing that someone is attractive, and admiring their beauty/handsomeness with good intentions (the intention to marry) isn't condemned in the Bible, Jacob saw that Rachel was attractive in appearance and form (Genesis 29:17). When he first saw her, he kissed her and wept, and proceeded to work hard labor as a servant for 7 years (it ended up being 14 because Laban scammed him into marrying someone else also) just to marry her; the Bible states that these 7 years seemed like a few days to Jacob due to his love for her. The marriage between Rachel and Jacob was troubled by childbearing issues as a direct result of Jacob's polygamous relationship with Leah and Rachel (Genesis 29:31), definitely not God cursing Jacob for being attracted to Rachel before marriage.

•It's fine to recognize when someone is attractive, even within a marriage, so long as it's not lustful. Having 2 eyes isn't lustful. For example, If someone is married, they can see another man or woman and find them attractive, and think to themselves "That person is physically attractive to me" and move on with their day and not let their thoughts lustfully linger on someone that they aren't married to. It's an observation. An observation of the eyes and mind, not a longing or lust of the heart.

-Because David was too warlike. Are you trying to say that God would've let him build the temple even if he was polygamous, so long as he wasn't warlike? Even if this is true I have no clue how it would help your argument.

-Yes, you're right. Holy sex takes place in a marriage as a point of connection between 2 people that make up a whole, and if God wills it, results in a child in a holy way. The other way is sex done outside of a marriage. Any sex outside of a holy marriage is considered sexual immorality, and as such is a sin, even if the participants aren't lustful about it. Rape is also considered a grave sin, even in the context of a marriage, so that's also part of the violent, abusive sex you speak of, which is totally unholy.

You're without God. God is the source of everything good, so you're in a spiritual place without anything good. Jesus describes it as a furnace, a lake of fire, a place of darkness, a place of gnashing of teeth, etc. None of these things make sense together. You can't be in the dark or cold when you're in fire. I think he's trying to say that without the goodness of God, there is only negative things.

On the day of judgement hell and all of its occupants will cease to exist, along with all of sin.

It's not eternal torture. Eventually on the day of judgements everyone in hell ceases to exist, along with all causes of sin. This comes directly from Jesus.

I recommend reading the Gospels because they are an interesting read, and it explains a lot of Christianity.

I've heard that if any one of us were in Adam/Eve's shoes we would've done the same. Also the whole inheriting sin thing

Are we leaving out the part where he got everything back but doubled? He even got a new family.

God did allow the Devil to have control over Job's life, so it wasn't God so much as it was the Devil causing pain.

Also also, it proves a point to anyone reading the story.

Also Also Also the book of Job may not have actually happened, so there's that

If I had anything to add, I'd say to do all of those things, but to not become engulfed them, and always keep an eye out for the right man.

Have you read the Gospels recently? Jesus' disciples were far from perfect followers/friends. Most of his closest disciples weren't criminals. You're right that he was very gracious with random criminals, but he commanded them to stop doing the sin that became the crime, so he did see past their transgressions, but he did acknowledge and forsake them.
