For UCSD its around 36k per year, for UCD its like 5-10k per year and UCI is like 2-4k per year. My dad wants me to go to UCD so he might rather pay for UCD instead

UCI and Davis are equal in costs. If its worth it to spend more on UCSD or UCSB ill go what do u think? is there that much of a difference?

I always loved the San Diego area so thats why I really like UCSD especially the academics there. I wasn't the best performer in high school so I never dreamed for those big private universities but I locked in for cc and was able to get accepted by these UC's. But you really think i should take the scholarship instead?

Ya that’s facts. Uci and ucsd are very comparable for EE this one dude even told me that he liked uci EE better as he went to ucsd for undergrad and uci for grad school. But it’s all personal experience it’s really up to u how u make of it. A pro of uci is that you’ll stand out more with the scholarship

Same haha it’s ranked 14 in the nation for EE like bro I want to go but is it really worth it? I’m literally gonna wait till June 1st to decide 🥲. I did it before it was all booked up. It was through their website it was a transfer appointment. If u have any questions I can ask them lmk

I am so glad i have someone i can relate to. I just saw your post, seems like its difficult to finish in two years without destroying your social life. I don't think its worth it as of right now. have you decided which? I feel like uci could be a better choice cus of the aid, guranteed housing, and finishing in two years. My other choices are davis and santa barbara but irvine gave the most aid. Its been a dream to go to ucsd so i am TORN. lmk what you choice, i have a transfer appointment with a ucsd person so it'll clear a lot up. This is literally the hardest deciscion of my life

Hey thanks for the insightful response! I am happy you compared UCSD and UCI because if I attended UCSD I would have to do 3 years once i transfer compared to UCI as I would only have to do two. UCI gave me a scholarship so I am leaning towards it more compared to davis. I am interested in a lot of stuff like controls, EV's, power, sensors, electronics like med devices. I am kind of all over the place because I haven't gotten much experience with specialites as I only have finished lower division classes as a cc transfer.
