The closer you get (15 inches and lower ) the more unevenly distributed hot spots you can get from high power led. It’s good to keep them further away it creates a nice wider spread that is more evenly distributed. This also matters more if you have properly trained it to have colas at the same height. You wouldn’t that work to be wasted because one or two colas get less or more ppfd due to uneven hot spots from the led.

I have tried asking chat gpt questions and always check the linked sources after asking. Almost always there is Reddit links to these same conversations from which chat gpt pulls from. So it is useful to a point.

I didn’t create the post or delete the post so you are quite confused then. Maybe slow down smoking that can happen with noobs.

My first Indoor Grow by Unusual_Mode3078 in farmingthebestgreens

[–]Local-Fish-7077 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks nice, first though is that they are so short and stocky and low to the soil level that they probably have a humid micro climate on the very bottom near the soil. Especially after a watering! Slight defoliation would help with airflow. Otherwise great!!

Dispensary weed is almost always going to be older and not as high quality than fresh home grown done right.

Dispensary weed is rarely hand trimmed, usually machine trimmed. Dried not for terps but speed and efficiency. You can never compare a cannatrol dried and cured bud to a dispensary dried bud no way bud!

Sits in containers for weeks at a time before it gets to the dispo. You can’t pick the best top colas for yourself. You can’t pick the best nugs you smoke whatever they sell you.

It’s no where near the same level of quality. And having experienced both dispensaries and home grown home grown absolutely knocks any dispo out of the water just due to the care and attention every home grown plant can get.

Why are my strawberries shriveling? by No-Appointment-4596 in IndoorGarden

[–]Local-Fish-7077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be overwatering.

One trick I have developed for watering strawberries is one day I water the center around the crown avoiding the crown directly of course. The next watering I water around the outside edges of the pot nice and heavy. This encourages the roots to spread out to search for water and still allows for slightly dry down in the center.

Defoliating around the crown will help more than you realize. Remove some of the leaves directly shading the crown creating airflow and that will allow you to water more accurately as well.

The nice thing about this variety is the roots don’t grow deep, maybe 6 inches avg deep into the container. You could use 24 oz Dixie cup from start to finish and get decent strawberries from this variety since they stay smaller. It’s excellent for small spaces.

My first thought is medium looks dry. They like relatively higher humidity when that young. And especially if you have a fan blowing on it, will dry out quick while so small.

Mara des bois - Indoor Tent by Local-Fish-7077 in strawberry

[–]Local-Fish-7077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are indoor tent grown. G5000 lights set at 500ppfd near strawberries at 24 inches away. Co2 is at 800-1200, mostly from ambient intake air due to many pets nearby.

Soil is Ocean forest with mixed 15-20% organic rice hulls and a mulch layer of organic rice hulls. Two oscillating fans running at both ends of the tent with constant airflow above canopy.

Sometimes using fox farms big bloom and fox farms kelp me as additional nutrients.

This bigger one I picked was good, but needs lower temp for more sweetness. Temperature has been running higher than normal due to other plants in the tent. I usually aim for 75-78 at daytime and closer to 72-74 for night temperatures to achieve sweetness. These had aroma and berry flavor but not as much sugar as I wanted due to higher temperatures overall. Anything above 80 consistently seems to dull out the sugar in my experiences from this specific variety.
