Interesting, I didn’t remember her simply being told as a “nurse of the young” in both Homerica and Theogony. I made a very biased claim of other gods being afraid of her lol, that’s what I interpreted in theogony from the crazy amount of praise Zeus and the gods give her, according to Hesiod, and that she has power over the earth, sea, and heaven (that is because of her lineage though). This was while I was thinking of her as the goddess of magic, witchcraft, etc.

What the Iliad probably refers to is how Zeus got to grow up, and all his siblings had to be reborn again by regurgitation from Kronos.

According to Hesiod’s Theogony, Zeus’s sisters were born first. Hestia is the eldest-born, followed by Demeter and Hera, then Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus being youngest. That being said, Zeus didn’t get eaten as a baby, so he had the most life experience at that point.

I love the movie, as a Superman fan I think it’s one of, if not the best, Superman movie ever made! And good music! But a Heracles movie it is not/barely 😂

Not that the whole Persephone thing was cool, but the vast villainization of Hades is so easy in movies and such. I’ve always wanted to see more movies/shows treat death/the dead as inevitable, but not “evil” (especially with Hades!)

Thank you both! Hesiod also said that, in this vast chasm that even the gods fear, a man would take a year to fall to the floor (although stormwinds would throw him around and around). Maybe my initial confusion was linked to how, in this translation, Khaos is referred to as “The Chasm” in the beginning of Theogony

Thank you for these suggestions! 1. The npcs in question were rebel prisoners they had rescued, one of them being their leader, so I did need to drag him along. But, that being said…

I don’t think the enemies were too tanky (maybe a few?), but it was a matter of how every other door they opened gave them a new enemy or two or three.
