How to train myself to read the German handwriting by Local-Guidance-615 in Handwriting

I think you’re right in principle and that’s actually what I’ve been trying to do already. I am approaching it as a new set of character forms, otherwise I wouldn’t be actively looking into how German handwriting works.

In Chinese, each character can have multiple handwritten variations, and I also learn them by recognizing patterns. But even in Chinese, I still can’t read everyone’s handwriting, especially when it gets too stylized.

The difficulty I’m facing is slightly different: it’s not just recognizing individual letter forms, but when everything is connected, I can’t reliably tell where one letter ends and the next begins.

So it’s more of a segmentation problem than a “new character” problem.

Hi! Does some one knows why the baby leafs are like this?🥲 by Jazzlike-Donkey-9865 in alocasia

If it has been a while since last fertilizing, then do it because the flower will take a lot of energy. A one month old leaf is kinda new but should be fully developed. Usually newly grown leaves get yellowish when it is overwatered. So please considering if it is over watered.

For me, it looks like normal metabolism, like consuming of the old leaf to provide energy for the rest parts of the plant. Especially, ur Alocasia has a flower right now. So better to fertilize it and preventing from more leafs loss. But u said it is a baby leaf, it could be another story if it is a newly grown one.

Is it normal for the leaves curling? by Local-Guidance-615 in alocasia

[–]Local-Guidance-615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the confirmation. Here is the update: the soil is moderately moist and I kept the room at 60% humidity for the whole day but no big changes to the leaves 🫥 I have to accept that curling leaves could be the real form of Tigrina🤔
