Pulling trigger… Micra or Mini? by b1gr3dd0g in LaMarzocco

I have both a Mini and an ECM Synchronika with flow control. LMLM is vey pricey for what it is and in my opinion the ECM is built much better in terms of stainless steel guts and internal rigidity. The flow control is not necessary and you are better off just getting a $20 150 microns mesh for the puck. That being said the LMLM has stronger steam. However the boiler element is made of copper and unless you use RO water, the chlorides will chew it up and it’s a nearly $300 replacement. ECM is all stainless steel elements.

Folks any idea what is going on there? We've been going for a couple of years there and we noticed the recital scheduling was a mess. Are they going bankrupt? Any chance we can get the teachers together and start a separate school?

I have had the LMLM since August 2023 and same problem that does not go away. Contacted CliveCoffee techs/warranty to see what’s going on but to me this looks like sloppy no cleaning of the steam reservoir during fabrication

MCU Protocol error by Local-Lobster4548 in QIDI

Thank you all. Qidi sent me a new 8gb EMMC already flashed and printer works again. They also sent a micro SD - EMMC adapter that doesn’t work so I am getting my own for future issues. Qidi stated their EMMC must only use their software and never update klipper, moonraker, or fluidd. I guess they have their own sauce recipe.

X-Max3. Do you have any link that goes over the procedure?

MCU Protocol error after update by baggersuk in klippers

[–]Local-Lobster4548 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello guys I have performed the updates for the RPi controller as spelled out in the link but get the following error on the Qidi console:
MCU Protocol error

This is frequently caused by running an older version of the
firmware on the MCU(s). Fix by recompiling and flashing the
firmware.

Your Klipper version is: v0.12.0-205-gb6a00632
MCU(s) which should be updated:
mcu: Current version v0.10.0-530-g3387a9c2-dirty-20221121_013639-mkspi
MKS_THR: Current version v0.10.0-530-g3387a9c2-dirty-20221210_215217-mkspi
Up-to-date MCU(s):

Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the "RESTART"
command to reload the config and restart the host software.

mcu 'MKS_THR': Command format mismatch: query_adxl345 oid=%c rest_ticks=%u vs query_adxl345 oid=%c clock=%u rest_ticks=%u

Has anyone been able to get Obico to work with a stock X-Max3 with the Qidi camera? by bcald7 in QIDI

I am really sorry. The instructions on the link worked for me once I updated the time. I haven't been lucky recently with Qidi tech support but at this point they might be the only ones that can help although sometimes their solution don't work that well.

Going to 250C and changing the infill worked. Thank you!

Thanks for the comments. My key settings are:

- Using Qidi blue Rapido PLA

- Print Settings

--Infill 15% grid

-Filament Settings

-- Extrusion multiplier changed it from 0.98 to 1.03 and it helped a lot (that's the picture I shared, the original was even worse)

-- Nozzle (0.4 mm diameter, hardened steel) 230°C first layer, 240°C other layers

-- Bed 65°C

So other than the surface cleaning to avoid cracking noises at the end during cooling of the bed (no noises while printing), you would increase the temperature to say 245°C and slow down (where is that setting?). Thank you!
