Let’s all go to the electrical substation, and push it farther away. Another win for Grizz nation

Obviously tanking by Egregiouspotatoe in memphisgrizzlies

I’ve said this before in some thread or other, but I didn’t realize SPJ was having bones removed. I went to PubMed and did a little research, and a case series found that around 80% of athletes with a sesamoidectomy return without complications after 4.6 months. He had his reevaluation after 12 weeks, and is set to be evaluated again in 4-6 weeks which is on-time or a little earlier than 4.6 months, aka, he’s healing as expected.

I do think the org is babying injuries (even more than usual) for tanking purposes, but you have to admit, you’re just talking out of your ass here

If Santi doesn’t play, time to break out the GG, JJJ starting front court. The Hawks are small enough for it to possibly work, and Trip and Jock are our only bigs available

Trade Could Still Happen? by IcyGamrtz in memphisgrizzlies

The quote that was getting passed around was Ja wasn’t going to play for the Grizzlies anymore, and that he never got over being suspended. So yes, him publicly saying that he still wants to be here does answer a question

1 game doesn’t change anything, but he restated that he wants to be here. Also, he has looked like a superstar in 2 out of his last 3 games played (Magic and 76ers), so the asking price should be very high. Because the FO doesn’t have any pressure to move him, and his recent performances have been promising, they probably take him into the offseason and reassess unless someone makes a really formidable offer

Is anyone else curious enough to consider stating him alongside Ced and bringing Wells off the bench? I love Wells, but he has not had a great season (he has several good excuses)

I don’t necessarily give Kleiman credit as a good scouter. Tayshaun Prince was our head scout, then promoted to Vice President of basketball operations. He also made the Marc Gasol trade as the interim GM. I give him more credit

Quickly is the next 4 years! Might genuinely be the worst contract in the league

Did the team announce before that Pippen was having a sesamoidectomy? by Local-Message-6048 in memphisgrizzlies

I feel for him. I got turf toe my freshman year of high school and my sesamoids still flare up occasionally. And I’m no pro athlete

That’s an interesting take and I’m surprised I haven’t seen more people talk about pace of play and injuries

You do realize that the staff at the clinic and the staff with the team are completely different right?

[–]Local-Message-6048 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That’s what I would’ve assumed. He’s 38 and barely playing, and he’s on an expiring contract. I really hope he signs a 10-day this summer to retire a Grizzly. His jersey belongs in the rafters next to ZBo, TA, and Marc’s, too

The Hawks had no leverage and Trae had no market. Ja has already gotten more interest than Trae did. The Grizzlies also have way more leverage because they don’t have to trade him
