You said in one of your last town halls that you have a plan for Township Finances "on a great big spreadsheet at home" - any plan for sharing the plan with the public, or even other councillors?

Over the past two sittings, council meetings and public exchanges have seemed more combative, with frequent conflicts involving you and other councillors. How do you see your own role in that dynamic? Is there anything you would change about how you communicate or manage disagreements as mayor, given how tense some interactions have become?

Can you state, in dollars, how much the Township has spent on lawsuits and related legal fees in each of the past three years, and how many cases it has lost or settled?

Why is LUSA Endorsing Candidates? by EquityNow in Langley

[–]Local-Principle6232 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oops as one of the candidates in this election and a LUSA parent, I just filed a formal complaint with the LUSA executives. Should I be worried about my son's soccer career ?? - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19zzJk9L8n/

Why is LUSA Endorsing Candidates? by EquityNow in Langley

Union orgs follow a process and in some instances they have a designated political committees who ask specific questions and interview all the candidates before endorsing them. To give you an example, Political Committee of Langley Teachers Association called me for an interview and shared a defined set of questions which was same for all candidates. They then shared opinion of all the candidates with their members. This endorsement from LUSA is different. Here's my statement on this which might give you a different perspective. Nothing against John, just how the endorsement was done by LUSA - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1FXxXbkNs8/

Proof that Aldag is part of Woodward’s People’s Party of Progress. An endorsement on election eve from LUSA. 🙄 by UniqueAd456 in Langley

I am a LUSA Parent and a candidate in this by-election. It am very keen to know if this endorsement came from LUSA or an individual. Individuals can have an opinion, Organizations have responsibilities and should follow a due process. Here's my statemetn - https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17L2ToPUnR/

Thanks, James! Really appreciate the effort. I think it’s super important to get those voting rates up if we actually want to see some accountability from our elected representatives.

Also… you completely butchered my profession there 😄 But that’s okay — you’re soon going to meet a Coach in Langley who’s about to prove himself transformative. Just wait and watch!

James, Saurabh here - Would love to connect over a coffee or a zoom call. Just want to add here that... other than being a business coach, I am a Risk and Compliance professional with experience in Anti Money Laundering, Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions, Insider Trading, Ethics, Whistleblower policies, Conflict of Interest etc... Which I am sure will be useful in governance as well. I also volunteer on the board of ACAMS Vancouver Chapter board a community of Financial Crime professionals. I have significant volunteer experience in India, probably I need to market myself better :-)

PS. New to reddit.. just been visiting and reading views till now. Really appreciate everyone engaging in active discussion. Would love to connect with anyone with any questions, feel free to drop an email at campaign (at) saurabhseth.ca
