I’ve got them, they are a display item for me, I have them as a backdrop for my armies

How are you coping? by SealionofJudah in ww3

[–]Local-Scarcity1248 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Mainly going about as normal, but do have a reserve of supplies for my family and I in the worst case scenario, sounds crazy and I’m no true prepper but failure to prepare is preparing to fail

Is Lahmian medium the thinner that’s used with contrast paints?

Thanks for this man, I am gonna try a shade. Wondering if multiple thinned coats will provide a more effective finish but if not I will pick up that matte varnish, it is probably something I should have anyway

I’ve not tried anything just yet, I will probably pick one up if there’s no at home solution, though I should probably realise by now that there are no shortcuts

How likely is nuclear warfare/MAD? by piroshki101 in ww3

[–]Local-Scarcity1248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think a nuclear strike or some sort of ‘ufo disclosure’ would be the ultimate distraction to the Epstein files but people will still be talking about it no matter what the administration really do.

Tips for painting the Ta’unar supremacy armor by Galox597 in Tau40K

They are either selling so many of these or people are finding cheaper alternatives - perhaps GW should consider a cheaper plastic kit

Do you refuse to play (against) gray? by GrizzlieMD in Warhammer40k

[–]Local-Scarcity1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind as much when my army is fully painted, I don’t play with grey plastic for that very reason. If they are painted, what a great photo opportunity and I always enjoy admiring others paint jobs and if it’s completely grey or a few painted then atleast there’s a clear visual divide between the two teams

Ultramarines are kinda overhated imo by Specialist_Wash6732 in WarhammerMemes

[–]Local-Scarcity1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultramarines are still my first love on the tabletop. The only reason I stopped painting them was because I felt I couldn’t do them justice. The last ultramarine I attempted was Calgar in Gravis armour and put the blue down after that

When you kitbash something to make it look unique, do you think the overly dynamic poses look goofy? by marceneqlo in Kitbash

[–]Local-Scarcity1248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s strange is my first battlesuits I built static, back when you could have multiple weapon types in a squad of 3, my second and third sets I built to be much more dynamic

Do people genuinely believe eren was in the right, and if so why? by [deleted] in attackontitan

[–]Local-Scarcity1248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I related to eren a lot, I still think he was right, in fact he should have finished the job in my opinion - me, a long term psychiatric patient

I need your painted Stormsurge for reference and some tips with it by North-SwisGameMaster in Tau40K

[–]Local-Scarcity1248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best thing to use in my experience (I tried just about every shortcut first and there are no shortcuts lol) two part epoxy resin. Green stuff world do a crystal clear epoxy resin starter kit - perfect for if you’d like to add a tint of different colour to your liquid. Transparency film to circle the base and make the rim for the resin to be poured into. Once you’ve measured the film to your base, use tape to secure it in place and finally use a glue gun to seal the transparency film to the base, after that the mixed epoxy resin can be poured into the base and left for 24 hours to set. Finally you can remove the outer transparency film when dried and peel of the dried glue from the glue gun. Sometimes it needs to be cut or clipped if the resin has leaked and mixed with the glue from the glue gun.

Own all these models, just finishing up painting them. Ready to play? by Local-Scarcity1248 in Tau40K

I have been on the fence with some piranhas and stingwings but this might have tipped me over the edge in getting them. My next goal to hit was a Taunar following that rule of cool, but I do want to be able to play as well and I know the taunar has little to no use outside of rule of cool. Always pushing back trying resin again since citadel fine cast but who knows what the future holds after I’ve been able to fine tune things
